something I am working on - obviously needed to come to systematic exit management rules, hence the backtests I posted before. Still think a short list of options is better but needs must.

hey Bry.... I think this entry method is the best to use with any system because all entry systems are in effect just a change of direction...so why complicate it or reduce frequency unless you can prove it has a statistical advantage

Thanks 60! Since I'm in the US and I'm typically asleep when London opens + I work during the day, I was thinking of focusing more on H4 instead of Daily/H1

In the long run the higher timeframes are certainly easier mentally..I have traded mainly H1 and H4 this year and H4 has been the easier of the two so far.

So regardless of what the higher timeframes are showing, you're simply trading the directional or color changes on the h4 - am I right? For example, you're not looking for a Weekly engulf to indicate a particular direction on h4?

correct, of course you can add elements like that but over the long run the advantage is marginal if any.

Hello 60MM,
Thank you for sharing the ideas in this thread and in the videos! I find it a great concept, let the market decide not us.
I only wonder how you manage to follow through the day when trading in H1? LO-NY hours are from 9 to 22 CET that is 13 hours in total. Not only the length of time but also in theory you need to check in every hour to see if a setup is formed that you have to react to.

GJ H1 Today trades -54. I have marked BE points. BE points are potential exit points at break even. Decided to quit and call it a day 2 hedges are enough for today.Its a gut feeling decision

Yes it's a tough market. I've noticed that ranging is much longer than normal, and then there's usually a spike/shakeout just before the big move. It's usually 2-3 days ranging, then 2 days move - is it worth trading ONLY after you've had a 2 days of ranging?

Its a process,how would you know when its going to range and when its going to move And yes its worth it.
Define "ranging is much longer than normal" whats normal range? You dont know I dont know,who knows? Many question addressing to emotions. This is pure mechanical no emotions,trade what you see.
