Honestly...I think trading the USD/CAD is a dangerous move. Just be VERY careful as you watch for some serious whipsaw.

Also...The GBP/USD has whipsawed 4 times - retraced 1 time - continued same direction 4 times. in the last 9 month's.

What does this tell me? It helps me set my strategy for the trade.

I will be patient on this one. At least let the spike make it's move and then make a decision. By then I will have the report and I will know exactly where it stands. Some news sites are saying that it will be bad USD, but the Dollar has been a tough nut to crack this week.

I would rather have a missed opportunity than a losing trade.

Now that's a plan DC.
Unless the numbers are just crazy obvious, it will be post spike price action for me.

USD is in a very strong sentiment week again.

As it turns out I stood aside on this one.

Very bad USD news

Whipsaw...

Sometimes the best trade is the one that you stood aside on.

I protected my account from a very uncertain market.

I hope that others were careful also.

I suppose a good fade strategy could have worked...but I have much to learn before I do that. hehe(maybe Merlin could teach me a thing or two about that)

I took the pound long on the strength of the data, took a partial profit at a pivot point and the remainder of the postion hit my trail stop.

It seems like the market does not want to give up on this dollar strength but is not willing to go higher yet either.

The best trading has been in the europe time slot this week. But, so has the best sleep.
