tip on how to find which pair to trade during london/new york sessions.

get a dashboard. many available here in ff.
put on 100sma or 100cci.
if all red appear in m15, m5, m1 -> sell.
if all green appear in m15, m5, m1 -> buy.
then just watch and wait for the two cci to align.
voila!!!

personally, i prefer to get 6-10 pips for 0.33% profit per trade.
if can successfully do it 3 times, that's 1% day.
do not over trade or put on big lots.
check on the bottom of mt4 so that the % does not get lower than 300-250%.
that way your account will not get blown.
cheers

Thanks, Inthebox, for the suggestion!
There are times that I knew that the pair I was looking at weren't really moving but I traded them anyway - this has always been a problem for me.
I'm hoping that I can avoid doing that as often with your suggestion.

according to the rules it's cci +/- 100. however one can have a heads up to see how things going to develop if put to 0, or 50..........
ultimately one still has to look at the chart to pick the better trending ones.
the dashboard can only do so much ...... it indicates.
what's the use if upon looking at the chart, the pair is in a range (though one can still scalp or wait for the breakout)?

guys,
do not be too obsessed by indicators.
a simple 14sma and 100sma can also do the job.
although this is hindsight, just to point out how using d1 (or whatever you consider higher time frame), one can still trade well.

1. look out for the obvious. price broke down resistance and was below 100sma and 14sma. it was an impulse wave.
2. bullish candle appeared on retracement. place a pending sell indication line below bullish candle low.
3. price did not hit the pending sell indication line. move it below the next higher candle low..... and so forth until price hit it so long as it is under 100sma.
4. when price broke down the pending sell indication line, move down to lower time frame to do your entry (one can even apply the same method in ltf). even worked quite well on countertrend in this example.

as with any other method, it has it's failed moment. i did not particularly choosed a nice trending pair.

as this is for information only and off topic, i do not want further discussion on this.

Inthebox thank you for the information. I agree with you, too many indicators is bad and can conflict. But its nice to have a dashboard so it can scan multiple pairs and its just an addition to trading.

Thanks for this thread Whatever, and everybody else's contributions. I've been in Forex for almost 3 months, having come over from very frustrating crypto trading. I've tried a few systems, just trying to learn and pretty much breaking even at the moment. I found this thread last week, and started using the system last Wednesday. I made 6 trades on that day, all they were profit and I took 62 pips! Thursday and Friday I broke even, and today I made and lost 5 trades, giving 47 pips back to the market haha!

Anyway, here is my question. When you switch to 5 minute charts, do you still use the same CCI values of 14 and 100, or do you use 42 and 300 so that you're still looking at 15 minute CCI on the 5 minute chart. Also, why? Thanks in advance for any answers.

i personally keep the 14 n 100 throughout all time frames. you can also see on post 2 there was an entry on m5.
why? for me it's mtf. when i see a set up in say m30, i can go to m5 for entry without changing the setting. or make the entry in m30.
