Hi guys,

Anyone has/had issue with disappearing EA (tested both versions .86 and .88) from expert folders?
Tested on my client and VPS, different brokers (all on latest MT4 build 1280). After copying file to folder and refreshing, it is removed/deleted.

I tried to enter several open hours using the format but I got this (the only difference from your setup might be the OS PT date&number formats vs US):

second that, my .86 and .88 are also disappearing from the expert folders as soon as I hit 'refresh' on the terminal after putting them in there. Have tried on multiple mt4 terminals, same thing. So currently I'm using v76, seems to be working well with mrdfx daily settings

Just a shot in the dark, but you have restarted your terminals after loading new experts, right?

Hi blamshakk, from my observations the pip count based on the 2.5% TP averages between 60-100 pips depending on the suggested pairs in the basket. As each pair has different pip values and as the basket is trading max 8 pairs it can vary from day to day. Take today for example, the daily set hit TP and the pip count was 102 pips, and last weeks average pip count was around 70 pips so it can vary.

I have not had this problem with the EA and I'm using it on 3 different terminals with 3 different brokers on my PC and my VPS.

not literally, but as described in my post I have hit 'refresh' which essentially does the same thing. And it's at that point that the expert is disappearing from the folder. Either way, I've never seen this behaviour before and the expert should not randomly disappear from the terminal's expert folder, restart or not

Guys:
Where are your MQL4 files stored? Are they under the MT4 folder where your terminal.exe is?
OR are the under the dreaded profile folder: c:\users\<your login>\AppData\Roaming\MetaQuotes\Terminal

Check and see if that is the case. Go to File/Open Data Folders and if u see something like this:
c:\users\<your login>\AppData\Roaming\MetaQuotes\Terminal\C5828944F612C0CEB29FCB269482348C\MQL4

Then more than likely the EA is located in one of the other folders. if you go up to Terminal\ you will see alot of weird name folders...

HH:mm-HH2:mm,HH:mm-HH2:mm etc etc

Hi Jess

I run the last version and I entered - 9:15-13:15 (on the config file I still have, as preconized by mrdfx, 15:55 as the daily hour to close basket) and I got the screen output:

The close time 13:15 instead of 15:55 - are you opening baskets during the hour range or the format it's a diferent way to define the daily close time?

they are in the correct folder (i.e. after clicking file / open data folder). If i put the mt4 terminal and the blahblah/MQL4/experts folder side by side, and then hit 'refresh' on the terminal, I can literally see the ex4 file disappear from the experts folder in real time in front of my eyes
