I see the market as a binary number one for tick up zero for tick down or vice versa..
I don't know what will be the next digit it can be 0 or 1
Pi can be the market but I don't get the point...you can have infinite combinations of 0s and 1s so I don't see any pattern...
Crucial if you get a signal from your system it must be related to the past price action if you start from void it is pure gambling...or maybe you found a pattern....

I read CP other thread which he requested be binned and I have no doubt he is incredibly intelligent ....few people have that here....maybe darkstar,Hanover,redlion.
however I don't like guys who like dangling carrots ...teasing the ordinary folk like me while we are trying hardest to acquire more wisdom.
this people never give real info away they just leave tid bits along which they know will be incredibly hard to piece together while enjoying the attention they get.
wo-yoy! wo-yoy! wo-yoy! wo-yoi! wo-yoy-yoy-yoy!

I don't start from void. I don't rely on past price action. I can say somewhat it is in the line of order flow, vaguely, but not the conventional way. Please don't ask me how I trade because I'm not here on the forums to do that. A lot of people are furious about this and hits a lot of their nerves.

To each his own... I think it is evident that I hardly post... which would suggest I don't care for the attention. I haven't vouched for anyone for I don't believe in the vouching system. I've had excellent conversation with several people here with private messaging and they can assure you I haven't solicited any scams, money, or for that matter anything else but a decent conversation.

Can't people just simply respect people want to post with no strings attached to it? I know... it is very rare.

You shouldn't go around telling people that you are a novice because they will hunt you down and take advantage of you

What people need to understand is that my post aren't for everyone's taste. It is hard... it is targeted to those people who have acquired certain knowledge. If my post doesn't make sense, leave it.

It's like me playing Jazz and the other people prefer rock. Then they complain because I play Jazz, they want to hear Rock. F*ck that, I play Jazz!

Hey CP

Before I waste my time following this thread...

Just wondering... Is this going to go anywhere, or is this just another reminder to the folk here at the Factory that you're a genius holding a secret code that we're too dumb too discover?

Just noticed all your replies have been in the direction of Ego boosts or Ego preservation, and you've ignored anyone who actually took an interest in the topic. (What you were apparently hoping for as stated in the first post).

Just saying

I feel so used

@cindy

I think people are too focused on that signature that they don't see the light comedy side of it. I like to laugh at my self once in a while, and that's what the signature entails... laughing at myself as to say it wasn't an easy ride.

Is this thread going to go anywhere? to each his own. (I, for one, never asked you to waste your time on me. Why are you crucifying me from your own decisions )

I will be posting some stuff here to get some juices flowing
Changing my the signature just for you cindy

@Mahdiquant
No, I didn't read darkstar.

I take 'one' stab at it Crucial although your question can have numerous questions ...

NOTHING --- It has nothing to do with trading because trading is simple

btw, I'm a big fan of your "Extracted Thread (per thread starter's request)"

I kinda get it like this :
Pi is such a constant anyone can't never find all the numbers which made it up. But, we just need the first 39 digits to calculate the circumference and bla..bla...

In trading we can never find every variables that making up markets, we won't find details of what moves the market, but..we don't need to master / known every variables /market's characteristics to trade profitably.

Crucial Point, you stated that you don't trade based on price history / past price actions, is that because you make your decision with the smallest time frame? could you decide what position to take in the first minute of the first trading day in history?

Let me try to reverse engineer that to the best of my ability with the little information that I know.

No price action involved in trading, at least to my limited knowledge can be in the following way.

treat each candle as an option contract put/call, strike, expiry
depending on (limited past price action) momentum where (P=MV)
p= momentum
M= mass
V= acceleration

we all do this when looking at candles mass in this case comes in the idea of range, and acceleration is the velocity at which the quotes move. As we all know price tends to move in a wave like motion, however the waves do not have equal magnitude nor amplitude. So I am guessing crucial point:

analyses 6 possible initial outcomes after clustering from an acceleration in a wave and either takes a put/call on the strike until that movements losses strength.

(ABC/x)= is the usual pattern of price where

A= acceleration
B= loss of momentum
C= is correction
x= is the random variable at which the speed, distance and force operate.

trading like this, you are only worried about the most probable outcome of the next wave and structuring your trade the way binaries are traded.

elegant...however it is only speculation in my part.

he uses moving averages to guide him (he uses them the right way, as an average of time not curve fitting random settings)

We cannot predict the next digit of Pi. Similarly we cannot predict the next move of the market (when/where).

Any pattern of digits can be found in Pi. Similarly, any type of pattern can be found in charts (double tops, S/R, pinbar ...)

Only after occurrence we can say that some pattern of digits exists in Pi. Similarly, only after a pattern is formed in a chart we can know its existence (e.g. we can only say that we have a double top when it's formation is finished).

There's no relation to successful trading and any complex number. A market is not a puzzle with a definitive answer and it never will be. Trying to decipher it is a waste of time, especially for new traders that don't know better.

Every trade taken relies on order flow for it's outcome. Whether you realize it or not.
