DislikedWhen the EA failed to place order i was trying to place order manually. But No connection. And the connection coming back and again i try to place order and again no connection or common error. It has repeatedly happened more than 2 hrs.Ignored
DislikedIf you are trading with single pair you won't noticed about this problem. Already 15-02-2012 i informed Pepperstone about this problem. My EA having capable of trading more than 15 pairs at a time. If you want you can check my trade history then I will post my id and password. Once you see my trading history then only you know how my EA is capable. I don't known weather i was specifically cornered because using multi paired trading EA.Ignored
DislikedEveryone known about this.
You can even add "Broker can't be responsibile for server failure". You are talking like a company "paid representative" for tackling situvation on web.Ignored
DislikedHi what GuruKrish said is correct. I also suffering same problem. No Connection And Common Error. [...]

josswa and ravichandran both have less than 5 posts. They both only showed up once it was pointed out that no one else agreed with GuruKrish... And josswa was even banned for having "multiple user names".
It seems to me they are all the same person.
DislikedWhat a great 007 job and my sympathy to you.
1) Only me trade EUR/JPY on 20 the Feb thousands millions.
2) Many people In happy situvation saying "Oh god". Then all are the people are same person. I am very sorry about your 007 job. Very childish. You may try and guess.
1) GuruKrish and Ravichandran are Friends.
2) Ravichandran can't write english so Gurukrish may help.
3) Try someother different angle.Ignored
DislikedIn my particular case I traded an EA which I had written, with martingale and no stop loss. It was not very sophisticated in terms of error handling (before I really knew just how unreliable MT4 was).
The disconnection in my case was for more than 15min and priced moved a lot in that time (yes there was a big gap in the chart). I believed I had a fair case since they had already admitted it was a server problem. I sent through the logs showing how the EA was attempting to take trades but not able to connect, and showing how the EA had traded...Ignored
DislikedThings only escalated after I pointed out clear facts about the situation (as shown right from the trader's own submitted "evidence") that placed blame on the trader and the OP stepped in to insult my character instead of actually talking about the statements (couldn't refute them I guess.)Ignored
DislikedIm in agreement with the traders on this forum. If you are using EA with Pepperstone it will most likely fail. If you are trading manually you will face common error and at least 5 disconnections are day. I know they are again changing the servers to cope but ive had enough with these people.
To make things worse a winning and profitable trade was stopped out due to lack of liquidity. That was the email sent to me via their support. There are much better brokers out there and definitely Pepperstone is lacking the goods.Ignored
DislikedHi,
Can you show the email that support sent you? Wich pair? You last statement is strange as I never heared of that.

DislikedHere is the email sent by Pepperstone, keep in mind my stops were locked in at +4, After the server went down for the announcement the price leaped frogged my locked in pips and stopped me out at 38 pips above my price. After calling them this is the response i received. Keep in mind from that day onwards disconnections occur all the time at least 5 times a day. So ask yourself are there better brokers than these guys??
Dear ......
Pepperstone is a 'Market Execution' broker and as such we are at the mercy of the market when orders are sent...Ignored

DislikedIn the other poster's case, they kept adding to the position long after they claim to have had an issue instead of closing it out the moment they got execution back.Ignored
DislikedThis is the last I'll say on the matter, but just to clear it up; My EA did exactly the same thing, when connection resumed it kept opening averaging orders but a long way away from where the initial trades were taken. Like I said it wasn't a very smart EA, very limited error handling, and it was the middle of the night, so I was asleep.
The point is, if there had been no server outage the averaging would have taken care of everything and the position closed in a profit. The broker agreed and paid up. I did learn a lot though, and put much more...Ignored
