I switched from 4 to 5 digit broker and my arrows are now working fine.
Ignored
I am recoding it this weekend but discovered that my arrows are fine on the 4 digit broker, but are 30 and 60 pips away from hi/lo because I originally wrote this for a 5 digit broker and did not consider a 4 D (or that Udine was going to release it publicly!).

just curious as how u visually tested the ATR ?

atr signal is just checking if atr5 is higher than atr25. thats whats inside the code. so i put 2 atr indicators on my chart and checked according to that..

Yes....of course you would not place a buy stop at the same figure, however the point I was trying to make for the new people is that ...given the amount of signals that is generated you need to make sure you allow a buffer of spread plus to the signal candle..
I wont post again...

don't you think that 3 buy arrows in a row which the high of the candle getting lower from the first is not obvious enough that you can call that a fake signal.
Don't mind me.. i'm crazy

So the 'best' time for H4 or daily candle close is with a broker time of GMT+2? That's the time most traders (or the big money) use?

Would have thought it would have been either NY or London.

Thanks for the heads-up, I'll have a look at the James16 thread (not been there in a while).

Cutting...but so true! That's one of the problems with indicators - people focus on them so much, they miss the obvious (me included).

I have added the option to send an email to the MTF HAS ADR indicator as i cannot watch the screen all the time. So now i get a msg when the arrow alert occurs.

This does assume you now how to setup sending emails from MT4 as it uses the built-in SendMail function. There is a thread in Plaftorm Tech that describes how, i use stunnel on my network to email my gmail account on my phone

Also, i have made 3 winning trades 2 on EU and 1 on GU though they weren't for full 10pips as today the market is too ranging and i opened them near the pivot! The trailing EA saved me So i am still learning!

Thanks Udine

Mike

Well done. Being in the green on a day like today is very good, as it is not a simple trading day.

Hey!

I just added Mail alert to the MTF HAS (If you allow, Udine)

In order for it to work you must have your "test mail" working. You can check in options in your MT4.

there are two ways to do this backtest. either put two real atr indicators to your chart and scroll back or u can run strategy tester in visual mode with empty ea and add to visual back tester chart your mtf atr. second one will be too slow because of the icustom HA indicator calls. and the results will be %99 same.

I am unfamiliar with a couple of the indicators, so please excuse the questions......I understand that the ATR and RM up/down must be correct color at time of trade.
1. Does that mean both the ATR5 and ATR25 need to be same color and do the ATR values have any significance?
2. Do both RM up and RM down need to be the same color, or only correct for the direction you are trading?
3. What are the little numbered circles on the chart? What do they represent?
Thanks to anyone with time to answer.

Specracer,

just because I am in a good mood after two great weeks... otherwise I would have told you go read and test....

1. ATR5 & ATR25 are always the same color: both green or both red

Do a google search on ATR....

2. the one in the direction of the trade must be green

3. delete and re-install the indies one by one and you can tell us, which indy it is

I didn't make any trades at London Session. 20 greens was from Asian session in the morning. Not a good day for trading. But you could learn a lot today. Specialy you could practice patiance! And wait for a trade to come to you! Chasing a trade or pop in just for sake of it is just a waste of money and energy. And yes, you are right - we need to learn every day to stay in this business and don't get burn.
Good night to all and see you back on Monday!
Have a very lovely weekend!
Frida
