snarlyjack,

It appears from your last post you have found what many traders will never find.......a method that works for them. Best of trades to you in the future.

two winning trades

EUR/CHF 4HR = 63 pips
GBP/CHF 4HR = 78 pips

Entered on the red line.

Initially had about a 80 SL on both. Then when they both moved into profit I moved the SL up to BE and set a 45 pip trailing SL. On the GBP/CHF trade my trailing stop got taken out and on the EUR/CHF chart I exited when TDI hooked over on the formation of the next candle.

Charts 1 & 2 show the entry
Charts 3 & 4 show the exit.

On the chart below, the 2 entries marked with the green line look valid and are losers. Can anyone confirm that ? Thanks

my other trade for the day just to prove it doesn't always work 3 pips profit. Exited out as soon as I saw the TDI hook (shown in second chart).

Monitor the trade on the formation of each 4hr candle, any flattening, hooking over or reversal of TDI then strongly consider exiting however many pips your up or down.
Ignored
That was a question I had. If not stopped out, do we consider the flatenning/hooking only at the start of each 4H candle?

Or just as it forms? For instance if we see flattening or hooking midway between a 4H candle.

I'm thinking the TD is like stochastics (but from short observation not as bad), which can bend and cross, uncross flatten and then reshape before the open/close of the next candle. So, it makes stochastics look really good in hindsight, but when you see what they do real time they become a tricky tool to use.

I have a question for eelfranz or his trading group. This method basically offers two windows of time to either enter/close trades and the one final time to close out the trade. In your experience, have you noticed more entry opportunities between the first or second times? For example, if 10pm and 2pm were the times to look, can someone just focus on one of the two times for trade entry and close out the trade at 6am? Or are the trades opportunities pretty balanced between the two times?

Thanks so much for sharing this method.

Thanks.

Thunderwolf,

The settings I use are:

5 EMA shift +3 typical price (hlc/3)

Between the Ema and the TDI on the 4 hour chart in my opinion
this system is nailing it.

When using this system on the lower charts (1, 5m, 15m in my
opinion it's not nailing it as much).

Using the 1h, 4h, and daily it seems to be very accurate. I've
learned a whole new way of trading! Who would have known...

Hope this helps.

Stimuls,

I'll try to help answer your question on what I think.

As you know every broker has their own forming of the time bars.
I use IBFX and not FXDD which I think starts their day (bars) at
a different time. So what I do is...

When I see a good trade using the TDI I take the trade and let
her fly. When I come home from work and I'am up $75.00 for
example I'll liquidate the trade. Everyone is different because of
our time limits with our lives. Sometime I'll liquidate the trade on
how much money I'am up. I also want to protect my profits and
not lose them. As in 1 bird in the hand is worth more than two
birds in the bush. So every trade is different depending on how much
money is involved and the look of the TDI.

Hope this helps you.

Your TDI cross looks very different from mine - mine only shows 1 cross for long, and would have profited.

Hey Guys and Gals,

One other thing I do that might help someone is...

I only look at the 4 hour chart. When I make my trade decisions
to open a trade or close a trade I only look at the chart I'am trading,
in my case the 4 hour chart.

I've tried very hard to simplify my trading. Clean chart! Just 2
indicators, the TDI and 5 Ema +3 Typical price. 4 hour chart!!!
Nothing else.

Don't over think this! Just trade what you see! Focus on just the
4 hour chart with the 2 indicators. Relax and let everything else go,
it's not needed using this simple system. Oh sorry, average price
bars also.

3 indicators! TDI, ema, average price bars, that it...

Keep it simple, Keep it real...

Re-Hi Guys!

As you can see,
1: We always have to check for news before entering in trade.
2: Like Big e said, on New York session, it's not a good idea to trade... as you can see my EUR USD Short as already touch SL with -42 pips.

Mfinab,

You will not take that short trade if u look at my chart right?
