this is not a indicator....go to account history, choose the trade you want to see and drag it into the chart that's it.

Hi,
Could someone verify the settings of the Moving Average on the chart. From the template I down loaded from post 156, The settings are 5 Simple MA, Shift-2 [email protected] Typical Price {HLC/3 }. I thought I read somewhere in this thread that it was 5 EMA Shift-3 Set @ Typical Price.

Thanks in advance for clarifying this for me....T-Wolf

Mine are the same - The settings are 5 Simple MA, Shift-2 [email protected] Typical Price {HLC/3 }. Not sure if it's correct, but that's what the template loaded.

Hi Twolf

I am not sure if it is a big deal what you use ema or sma, but shift should be ether 2 or 3 typical price. Just up to the traders preference. I use 5ema shift 2 typical price. Play with it and see what you like really pretty similar.

TD turned down so out at -23 pips.

Back in EU & AU SHORT as I see signals on both.

News is probly gonna be a big fake and I'll probly wish I just had hung on to the GU, but testing this method as prescribed.

Yep, faked out by the news should have held on to my GU trade. Stopped out of both EU and AU shorts now.

Three trades -184 for the day:

Hey guys,

Im not familliar with the TDI so please excuse me if this is a stupid question.

What is the significance of the 68 and 32 levels, do they have a particular meaning or are they just a trader preference.

Thanks in advance.

Hi 33:

The position of the TDI cross in relationship to the 32 and 68 points is important.

I would be cautious taking a short trade when the cross signals you to go short near and/or below the 32. Likewise, taking a long position near and/or below the 68.

On the other hand, eelfranz says that some of his best trades have been when the TDI cross signals short near the 68, and long near the 32.

Hi 33 drifter. The TDI is an RSI custom based indicator that uses 68 as overbought level and 32 as oversold level instead of the usual 70 and 30 levels.

Re-Hi Guys!

As you can see,
1: We always have to check for news before entering in trade.
2: Like Big e said, on New York session, it's not a good idea to trade... as you can see my EUR USD Short as already touch SL with -42 pips.

Mfinab,

Hey 33drifter,
That's a good question and I guess you'd have to ask Dean Malone from Compass FX, as the TDI indicator is his creation.

So my next question is regarding money management.
Lets say you enter a trade and place SL above previous high or low, we'll use 30 pips for this example. If you get an exit signal after 15 pips do you take it and rely on high probability to get you through or do you try to hold out for a TP of 30 pips and keep a R:R of 1:1

Great thread by the way, thanks to all the contributors

Monitor the trade on the formation of each 4hr candle, any flattening, hooking over or reversal of TDI then strongly consider exiting however many pips your up or down.

Basically watch that green tdi line if it gos flat or starts hooking back on you (hook looks sort of like a check mark) consider getting out and look for a new entry. I guess its more of a timing thing. If your timing is off get out and try again later.
