Anyone using 123 still? I'm still in demo mode.

Like the new system but it needs an EA I still have to work and rangbars like renko are not time based so it could me min's or hours before a trade comes along.

hi there I got updated in this thread in this weekend, and I refuse to let this 123 system go down... no way in hell, I love 123 pattern simple easy and effective, so let's reunit forces and improve it to his best... i'll put my way of play with it..


but first some questions what is the period of your MA?


so to begin with I will put my charts posted..

I use the grid builder just to give me a feel of the movement I use RB 15 pips and for now i'm using 30 period MA, and also the concept of the channels applyed on the Rb charts here you go the image is worth 1000 words. on the right 5 min E/U chart on the left 15 pips Rb...

i use zig zag 8 in the 5 min and zig zag 4 on Rb i find good results but let me know your opinions...

rod, kreactor let's unit forces and improve this let's get those pips...

when I begun to trade I was always locking for the new system always trying and trying... but then I woke up and looked at the basics 123 are the best that basic as to present, and a love i been trading naked charts loocking only for 123 reversal patterns, I dod not follow the trend cause was to dificult to know when it was ending, but with these channels concept we can predict when/maybe it is lossing it's power and begginig a reversal so we can catch the reversal and then ride the waves to get a RR of 3,4,5,6,7/1 and that is powerfull to have a Risk reward of 5:1 even if we loose some the winners are powerfull enough to keep us in profit.. let's work come on..

PS - to zam I have to public present my apologies I was one of the sceptists, I didn't believe on tradewin but now reading the results men you have there a huge system 2 months en in loss in a total of 24 ???? well that's huge a great system... so I apologise for being an asshole, humans make mistakes i made mine is up to you to take my apoligies...

Nothing fancy in my rb trading. Just observing the trend and trying to ride the waves.
Ill coment your charts when i come back.Baisicl you said it, learn and folow the basics, plus you need hours and hours infront of the chart, and you will start seeing paterns more and more .

ill be here in next 10 days, when market is back again in normal attitude.

Some people there are trading with range bars.

I use both range bars and normal bars in my trading.

The 123 pattern is for sure the one I use.

I'm playing with RB using Dreamliners ideas but the only thing I don't like about RB or renko is the time it takes to finish bars (bricks) I still have a "job" so even if they work better I just can't use it.

BUT that said 123 is the oldest and still the best price pattern in the books.. I can make 50 pip a night, I set and forget.

now if only I can find an ea or script that has a partial close feature that actually works.

I don't understand the above statement.......range bars have nothing to do with time.
If you set your range bars with a smaller number of pips you will have bars finishing very quickly.

I use a 7 pip range bar for 123 trading

ok 123 within a 50 pips range -- I hope the chart explain

so -- look at the 00 and 50 levels -- price must touch both ends 00 and 50

then wait for the 50% retrace (= 25 or 75 level) then once price turn back to the 00 or 50 level enter tp 25 pips (at a 25 or 75 levels) sl at the retrace level

I don't use 7 pip Range bar I use a 30 and they take time to complete whats not to understand sir? The larger bars work better. Have you tried 123 on smaller time frame? I find they do not work as well.
For "MY" style I like h1 it gives me strong signals with high rate of success since I'm only pulling 50 - 100 pips. I pop in order and walk away.

So it stands to reason that a RB in 30-50 will also work better. Again I can't say when the bar will be complete and I can't watch it all night. At least on the H1 I can check it every hour when I'm off work and still have dinner, watch movie with wife etc. Hope that clears my above statement.

What setting are you using for zigzag depth on the 123 indicator with your 7 pip range bars -- or are you using the standard setting (1)? I'd like to look investigate the 7 pip compared to the 15 pip.

Hi all and happy new year....

Using range bars with 123 patterns - really helpful seeing 123 trades. My brokers don't offer many M2 offline charts. Does anyone know what determines the availability of M2 charts?
