Is DLL imports allowed...?

Hi Taiyakixz,
Yes DLL imports are allowed on my settings.
I am totally confused and couldn't see any reason why it should not work. I am digging out more...
enabled expert advisor, enabled DLL import.

Did you backtest for these settings? If so, can you share the Report?
Do you use IBFX?

Hi Geoff,
It is due to the model we selected on the strategy tester.
I selected different (control points instead of the all ticks) it works very good.
Now it generates the orders and do the testing as that of the version 5a.

Is there anything that needs to be adjusted?
This setting (control points ) is not available on the real trade. How this will have impact on the original trade?

How do I do that in the message? I attach it. Edit:Last year. It worked.

Maybee IBFX miss the loosing trades because their is trades open? IBFX does not allow hedgning.

If I will do a test with compounding, how does risk percent, low med high risk work?

Hi Elovv

I ran the test on forex.com with and without hedging but I can't match your results with IBFX, I wonder why this is?

Anyway, here are my two graphs the top one is with hedging allowed and the bottom one is with hedging not allowed.

There is no real difference!

Hi Velli

I'm afraid live accounts are similar to Every Tick tests, the Control Points testing is not accurate enough to simulate real trading and, as it will say on your MT4 "the results must not be considered".

Hey Geof and all, I have been trying to back test and forward test the EAs both the GBPv6 and the EUR v5. It is not placing any trades, I checked my broker's time and adjusted it to GMT 3. I am new to using EAs, so can someone kindlly tell me how to get it to work... Thanks a lot

Thanks for the clarification. I do know version 5a has opened some orders last week on demo.

Too many newbs killing this thread.. Start learning how to trade

first on Demo at least.. EA won't help you if you know nothing...

It's a long way to go.. Prepare to learn 1-2-3 years before you'll make

any profits and that's only if you not going to act stupid and loose

all your money by then.. Get real Forex not an ATM machine..

Prepare to lose money other than win.

With all due respect Sky, I am trading since years now real time real money. New to EAs does not necessarily mean new to trading, or am I missing something here? And suppose someone is new to trading why on earth would you wanna bash em with your arrogance?! I don't think you were born a trader now were you? The way to success in life my dear is tolerance.

Geof if I happen to be in the wrong thread, kindly advise.

I know SkyzerFX is a first class trader but like everyone he has probably had to learn the hard way and, unfortunately he is right, the only way we learn is by losing money at first!

I know I did plenty of that, I got it down to a fine art!

One of my hopes with this EA is that we can help others, newbs and experienced traders alike to have something working in the background that provides some profit, whether it augments what an experienced trader like SkyzerFX is already making or keeps a newbs account afloat while he makes losses through his learning process, it becomes a useful tool.

I think I have more patience than SkyzerFX, I take my pills every morning, so I don't mind answering questions from less experienced members, I know I am still learning from FF and I have been trading forex for many years.

However, it would help if people new to the thread were to spend some time looking back through earlier posts to see if their query has been answered in an earlier post, it is a bit boring answering the same questions over and over!

I want as many people as possible to use this EA, it's free and, so far, it works!

Hi Chantal

I think You can use this guide http://fxreviews.blogspot.com/2007/1...dvisor-in.html
On the picture with point 4. You must mark Enable alerts, Allow live trading, Allow DLL imports, Allow imports of external experts. 4 marks.

If You have the smiling face it should trade. Test if it trades on backtester.

You are definitely in the right thread Chantalb and to be honest so is Sky, he has a way of putting his opinion that I respect, his opinions might not suit everyone but he says what he thinks, something that we don't often get in these PC days!

If you have not used EA's before, it can be confusing at first but once you have found out how to use one EA, it is much easier the next time.

If you have questions, fire away!
