As for timing the entries, have you looked at the vsa thread on this site, some of the folks there are using the market profile indicator on the mt4 platform to give the sort of volume data that you are generating and combining that with vsa to time their entries and exits, but I think your volume data is far more reliable...

Just some thoughts...
Thanks farizu, I know what is VSA, but am not using it at all. Should say that currently this is my strategy and I will not change it to anything. The main things are - I understand it, and I feel comfortable with it

MT4 do not have Times And Sales. They are like Depth Of Market .
I see some activity of green. Maybe will close now at 1024.25
Moved SL to breakeven level as 1024.50 looks to be consolidation price, green and red power are almost equels. Do not know where will go now.
Closed at 1024.75 as do not have time to watch it further, and green has been activated asmall. Here is the last picture.

Have just cheked the market, and almost 5 hours after posted here the price almost was not moving.

Starting from 23:00 Chicago time eVOLution checks for data every 4 minutes, currently I do not see data for 4 September on CME ftp, still waiting for it.
Just updated eVOLution flash, under buttons to download archive with csv files implemented full date when archive was updated, now you can easy know download archives or the data is still old inside them.

Hi, 6E future will expire 14 september, but the actual contract switch day is always several days before expiration - people just start trading new contract.

For example - check 10 September date on evolution, total volume for 6EU9 for that day was 104226, but for 6EZ9 was 126374. This means that two contracts has been traded that day, but 6EZ9 more. 11 september the difference is much different. So we should start looking onto december contract.

Personally I can recommend do not trade at least at Monday, just give market some time to form major volume levels

- draw volume levels with eVOLution
- when price will touch volume level from below - watch to times and sales , if red lots are much greater than green price will...
Remember reading the Tape it's not so much of how much selling you see or how much buying you see, it's how is price REACTING to the buying and selling you are seeing.

Seeing a mass of red indicates selling, but what EFFECT will that selling have on PRICE????? That is the question.

Quick example with a chart.

Horizontal Blue lines at the bottom are some of your volume levels I pulled.

Notice the Blue Arrows.. they show alot of selling. If viewed from the tape you would probably see a mass of red and think price is going to go down because of all the selling.

But notice what happened, the selling got absorbed. Look how easily price shot up after all that selling--path of least resistance. The long green bar with MD of 143 look inside of it..it's not dense with alot of delta to on side or another.
All that selling that you would have seen in the tape cleared out supply momentarily to make room for an easy move up. Price shot up 25 ticks or so.

Also notice where it stalled ( the red arrow) which was top volume area for the session...still there as I type.

Just like to say thankyou to vollumetrader for his selfless work. Your website and indicators are fantastic to say the least. I've been having a lot of success using alexS method for which you indicators are specifically designed for. However one of the problems ive been having is in the intraday volumes. I use marketdatas footprint (as suggested by antivolfix) but this does not plot previous volumes on a chart which i would find most useful. Instead it only plots volumes from the time market data is fired up. I was wondering short of purchasing footprint are there any other free alternatives which provide realtime and historical charts of volume.

VolumeTrader the EVO levels indicator never ceases to amaze me. Thanks again for making it possible and keep up the good work!!!

Am I mistaken in my understanding of the indicator or is there something wrong with AUDUSD?

Somedays the indicator will show lines from previous day where price never were. How can there be volumes on levels when price never visited those levels? Take todays levels for AUDUSD for instance. It shows that the highest volumes had been around 0.86 for Friday, but price never even touched 0.86 on Friday.
