Volume indicator that predicts total volume of current candle

Hi All,

I currently use the Better Volume indicator. A while ago I saw a Volume indicator that gave you a prediction of the current candle's the total volume as it was progressing based. It was very accurate and gave you a pretty good indication of a volume spike before the end of the candle. It showed a 'shadow' total volume bar behind the progressing real volume. I seem to remember you could designate the color of the shadow total volume bar.

I was hoping someone could either point me in the direction of it or perhaps alter the one I have uploaded.

Thanks, happy pip hunting

The attached Better Volume indy toggles between the current and projected volume of the currently forming candle. It's not the one you mentioned, as it was coded by a friend of mine, and has never previously been posted publicly.

I have no idea whether it will run correctly on MT4 build 600 or later. Hence if you decide to try it, it's at your own risk.

Can you post the other one he mentioned that predicts the incoming volume?

If you can tell me the exact name of the indicator he's referring to, I'll search my archive. But it's more likely that I don't have it.

Justin,

The indicator that was created by my friend: it is attached to post #2.

The indicator that the OP is referring to: I have never seen it.

Ah, I see now that my statement could be interpreted in multiple ways. Perhaps I should have said, "The attached indicator can't possibly be the one that you mentioned, because it was coded by a friend of mine, and has never previously been posted publicly. But I hope that it will suffice."

Sorry, my bad.

David

You would need to find a programmer with both TS and MT4 coding skills.

Yes.
However, I did not see the value in it and therefore did not translate for MT4.
The problem is that the volume on a price bar is not uniformely distributed, therefore the prediction is exremely innacurate.

Hi haggis, do you happen to have the SessionVolume ind but in the .mq4 file version instead of the .ex4?
