It plots the histogram on products, but not only on futures. It works on related currency pairs also.

But can I attach the histogram to a FX chart(EURUSD, GBPUSD)?

The chart you posted the indicator in is a futures chart, 6BU9, and in the histogram rar files I see only futuresvolume-ec.csv for the euro.

When I attach the indicator to a FX chart I get a "No such a file" alarm, and yes, the csv file is placed in the right folder (/experts/files/evolution-histogram/).

Thanks in advanced for your clarification.

Indicator works with currency pairs also, and is working on EURUSD and GBPUSD, I have just checked it. The indicator work in some other way than eVOLution-levels, it check if symbol code is EURUSD or have 6E as 2 first characters and load futuresvolume-ec.csv file then.

Are you sure your product is named just EURUSD or GBPUSD? Maybe they are lowecase? Or with dash or slash?

Correct, it works perfectly.

Sorry for messing up. I had the csv file on the other folder "evolution-levels" instead of "evolution-histogram". My bad.

Kind regards.

The EVO levels work fantastic. Again awesome work.

I have been trying to use the volumes information that comes in the stream, but have been informed by my broker that the volumes information only relates to the number of movements within a tick, and has nothing to do with the number of or size of contracts.

John: i am trying to figure out exactly what the volumes data represents that gets streamed. some say it is the number of ticks, but it doesn't match
Jason G.: No, it is the number of individual pip movements (up or down) within a given tick
Jason G.: so if, on a 1 minute chart...
Jason G.: a currency pairs moves up once...
Jason G.: then down once...
Jason G.: and then the tick closes...
Jason G.: the volume shown will be 2
John: so it is the movement within a tick?
Jason G.: correct
Jason G.: it is a measure of volatility

The volumes we get from our broker just means how much the market is "jittering" and has nothing to do with the amount of trades. To me, this volume is relatively meaningless, but if you have a source for a more meaningful volume, please share what it is. Thanks.

Here is modified version of histogram, now it should works on all currency pairs that begins from EURUSD, do not matter on what symbols are efter that.

Also, changed ZOOM parameter to double type, so if you want to decrease the histogram you can enter decimal numbers (for example 0.01).

Indicator works just fine. Great idea the ZOOM parameter decimal change.

By the way VT, at what time do update the files on your site?

Also, have added some otional parameters for eVOLution-levels, they are:

FirstLevelWidth = 1;
SecondLevelWidth = 1;
ThirdLevelWidth = 1;
FirstLevelStyle = 0;
SecondLevelStyle = 4;
ThirdLevelStyle = 4;
So you may set different line width for different levels, and styles. The styles are:

I do not update files on my site, all is done automatically. If you are waiting for yesterdays data - they will not be there as yesterday was holliday and nothing was traded on CME. I think that we may use fridays data

I want to share an idea I have discovered how to filter the entrance, it's quite easy way to see will the price broke volume levesl, or price will rebout from it.

It's quite easy todo it with Times And Sales tool, many different platforms provide such, but I prefer thinkorswim as demo account with it is not limited in time, and I just like this platform

So, the overall how to do it:
- draw volume levels with eVOLution
- when price will touch volume level from below - watch to times and sales , if red lots are much greater than green price will rebound and will go down.

Here is the live example from now on e-mini S&P 500.
- price touched 1027.00
- red color is more than green, and red lots are much greater than green

so I have sold from 1026.00.
I should say that this is _correct_ way to trade, as you see the confirmation that more peoples are selling now and market become bearish.

Here is the screen.

Current price is 1024.50 and I saw several large green lots (100 and 114 lots), but red looks to be still stronger. Keep watching.

just a quick note to say many thanks for all your efforts.

As for timing the entries, have you looked at the vsa thread on this site, some of the folks there are using the market profile indicator on the mt4 platform to give the sort of volume data that you are generating and combining that with vsa to time their entries and exits, but I think your volume data is far more reliable...

Just some thoughts...
