Based on price action analysis plus my limited understanding (of Gann's systems) to predict the potential near future direction.

My focus is on using price action and "Gann" to determine the direction, and price action to manually enter and exit. Remaining information is a distraction based on what i am using / trying out. Lot size traded as well as stop loss is part of money / risk management - which is critical to successful trading but currently not my focus.

To be frank with you, I used to blur mine out too, mostly because I didn't want people to see I was trading .02 lots. I figured people would have mocked me for doing that. I also didn't want people to see my order numbers. But I really shouldn't care. I usually do 0.1 lots now but I still do .02 from time to time.

It's their preference...some people like to flaunt what they have and some don't. Some people think personal finances are personal.

What does it matter if they are trading 0.01 or 10 lots. Some people are more concerned with other people accounts than they are about other people's calls and winning trades. The size of the next persons account want help you grow your account.

I don't see any reason for a major gap anyway unless some crazy news happens this weekend.

Only thought I would have on it for you all to consider is how that area of R held yesterday and today and I think market closed somewhere near that area today

very nice answer, mistaouting.. i do recognize that personal finances are private, and i wont beat this horse into the ground, but obviously it would be interesting to know if a person making a trade is trading ten cents per pip or if they are trading fifty dollars per pip.

regarding that personal finances are private, posting a trade with the lots visible isnt quite the same as letting me see their bank statement..

if i post a trade here, i promise you that i will show my lots traded, but i do agree that not showing the trade ticket number is a good idea..

the trade ticket doesnt help me to analyze a trade, lol..

maybe one day i will start a thread that requires traders to show lots traded, but i dont know if i am allowed to make such a requirement on this forum.

Interesting is one thing and constructive is another. Looking at person order size WANT help you learn technical or fundamental analysis. Maybe risk management but then that's not the same for everyone.

Amd that's what you should ask opposed to order sizes, something like what's your RR not stop blurring out your order size.

Let's be honest people asking to see someone orders is because they are nosey or wanting to size up the other individual or a creep. What category do you fall in?

Reminds me of this movie when this guy would use fake atm receipts showing a balance of $1,000,000.99 to get girls...he would leave it laying around knowing the girl would look at it when he wasn't around.

Edit. I see people trading .01 lots and they talk like they are the greatest fx trader we'll because they trading small orders don't mean they are not... Maybe they already 5 lots in and want to add to the order with dragging there avg.... And sometimes I think it's just people talking trash and not who they say they are.... But unless they cause someone harm it's none of my business and I wouldn't care or judge for small orders. If I could I would use 0.01 orders but smallest I can do . 10 but it's times i wish I could go smaller to take on a larger risk....

again, i really dont want to debate this all day, but when someone is throwing pennies around it is not nearly as interesting as when someone is betting $100/pip or $1k/pip or $10k/pip.

it is my best guess that most people that blur out their lots are tossing around pennies.

again, i am considering starting a thread where it is required that lot sizes not be blurred out and that you have a live trade explorer with trade lots visible.
