Well AUS i can only offer my take on this what you said seems to make perfect sense to me. Wait but that said here is how i am playing it today. Looking to short on this Pair, Would wait to close of London Session see how price has been traded after the red flag news today before then and then make a decision. Bias short on this Pair, thats just my take btw .. looking to see how the news is played first out of NYC. Could well short then, short after fomc and then a final short from Asia session later on. Personally going to wait and see as the day unfolds.

The pair is back to 1.2730/40 zone after UK's jobless rate stay unchanged, risk remains on the downside. 1.263 act as next support level, break below could lead to further decline.

GBP/USD looks bullish, maybe the US dollar will depreciate after the news release at 2PM EST.

This jump due to sudden selloff of $ bcause inflation figures in US show no inflation..So with FOMC ratehike in question this evening.. this news weakens perceived likelyhood that Fed will hike rates later this evening. also retail sales growth not good.. and US economy is very dependent on this vector.

Oh, I knew of the upcoming news but when I saw the rates dropping so fast I thought something crazy had happened. At the time I was hesitating to add to a losing position. But all is good, all my TPs were hit, now I am flat.

140 pips and closed on the day short on this pair and ran a short on the euro usd to follow the move.
