News releases will take care of stops in short order. Unless of course you happen to be on the other side of the move. That is why I want to be well within my trades and stops adjusted before those events. Ended up +17 on the CA.

How that US30 played out...
I caught the UC as well, including the Hal-Special. Felt confident in it as I was already playing UC over in The Dead Zone...

Thought I would throw up a couple charts that I didn't trade with some comments seeing it's a Friday. EU is on holiday today. Here's a case where stop would have been around 16 pips. Not huge but you can see the direction it went. When the hour open is closer to the high of course less risk is put on and at times more likely to get stopped though. Small loss. Now if this would move back through the open from this point I might want to take that trade down.

Saw this very similar move on the NZ just a couple days ago. This is not a trend line trading method but kind of shows maybe what you don't want to buck. Those are persistent moves and at some point may go sideways and reverse. I will pass until then.

Here is that NZ move 2 days ago. Where I was bucking that strong trend. And then eventually as it went more sideways the next day caught the downside for a decent move.

I didn't take this trade but this CF is a good example of sideways from this last hour SL was about 5 pips. It got 9.

A trade I take from time to time. They don't always work out, this one did. GU long after it had set new low in the current hour then came back up through the open. Got my +5 locked in. Not a 1-2-3 by rules.

Last trade for the week took this CA short +5. Bigger stop than I like but it moved up about 5 pips then came back through and I like when they make that move unlike some that bounce around at the open.
