the market have been relatively quite this week, its better to wait till after FOMC Statement, market volatility should pick up resulting in better profits on trade. for the time been just scalping for few pips every now and then

Ok, I understand your logic with order flow and quick rejection.
I guess my way of thinking is that until an area has been retested, it's still a danger/opportunity depending on how you see/trade it.

Possible 29 pip scalp long to 2850 then short I might think let's see but for now locked out 5 trades and leave 2 open with a sell on the number . Goodnight

Well what a day that was for cable what should have been an easy push for the bulls with a long bar up to the resistance 2977 instead right after closing the gap the bears put in the long bar and took out the support instead. Then a battle lasting 10 hours before the bears won support now leaving us with resistance at 2917.

Notice how the bears stopped the EMA from making the higher high forming a double top. Today it will be interesting to see if the bulls can effect the same thing and form a double bottom. Since the market is generally quiet at this time then I suspect the bottom will be broken, the price only has to stand still to do this.

I traded the AJ yesterday feeling that if the AUD was attacked then the YEN would be the attacker and it panned out that way.

Actually the above is a prime example of 'thinking trades' and not trading what we see.

A question which has puzzled me for years is who manipulates these moves, are they just sitting there waiting to pounce and who are 'they'. I hear so much stuff about institutions and banks, algorithms and robots, news and events and yet the price stops exactly where it should. Why is this?

For my part I try to determine where the strengths and weaknesses are and how much of a swing can I expect base on the equilibrium of sentiment.

For example in the chart above the bulls were too weak to break the average high (weakness) the bears were strong enough to take out the support (strength) and the equilibrium swing was 100%.

I would be interested to here what others feel in regards to market moves.

Morning you are right there are moves that not a lot of people think about . I have open that I call a false pennant break we are in that move now you have to find a pennant shape with a wick or tail sticking out then you trade to the bottom or top and when it hits the to you buy or sell from the trend line to that wick or tail . If you can get your head around that . Regards E

if you look at this 4 hour dojo type candle st the top and to the right 2 candle with no wicks . Japanise rice trades where full and had to sell off the rice

See I see that a tad differently using the Quartile I note we have not retraced more than 25% so I expect a continuation to the downside. Shown in chart below.

Look also at the two boxes I have put X's in. The retracement failed by the amount in the top box, this amount is transferred to the box below which makes a 100% equilibrium swing of sentiment. Now when it exceeds this target it is in divergence and up she goes again. (where the yellow circle is)

I forget to mention that the lower box is often made by a single bar.

Just 2845 area now break this then that 2820 will go also 2605 is the bottom support tl with a possible 2550 area also
