You may obviously have gone in earlier on either of the previous two looks and taken a couple of small hits before this third one took off.

Other than the FTSE which triggered right on cue, I don't know how many I'll be able to get in on today, as I have to be off doing other ''stuff'' through the day but here's how they're looking at the moment anyway...

I had my eye on this, ended up taking +12 on U/J instead right before the same hour candle decided to shit itself and turn into a h1 breakout. cable is rising which could lead to a spill over in the euro once it slows downs and help your trade out!! good luck

Keeps you on your toes. Last hour I had eu +9, ej +16, gu +1, nz +8, jy +11, cf +10, ca +9. I happened to take the eu and thankful I didn't take the gu.

how do you treat situations like this hal? it was a previous 1-2-3 last hour that went sour very quick after coughing up. do you feel wary at all when the h1's keep consecutively breaking out like now? or is it just about following the edge locking in that +5 and whatever happens next happens next for you lol?

definitely a pip taking machine though my friend i second that comment made about you lol!

If I only knew, Piphunter, I would be a kajillionaire. As of yet I have not found what I would call the magic tell. But I keep observing making mental notes. It's there somewhere. Or maybe it is. Possibly under that haystack there. In the mean time I will take the +5 when I get 'em and let 'em run, if they will. I try to avoid the trains running at me and jump on the ones running away. The great part of this method is its simplicity. It never changes. No new doo-dads to tweak every couple of days. One only has to tweak their brain. And yeah the JY trade stopped out again, but not before I locked the 5 again. They don't always win, but enough of then do consistently, and some really do to keep firing at them.

thanks for the reply, yeah i understand theres probably no way to quantify or any sort of tell but what i was really asking just didn't word it too well is.. are you happy to jus keep knocking at it each hour if you haven't got your eye on anything else? like U/J once again lol this one is the perfect example of it at the moment. it gives a few crums away on the 123 and then breaks

Yeah I think everyone who uses this method had to figure out what works best for what they want to get out of it and their individual temperament. I didn't see anything I wanted to get into this hour so I threw up this chart from yesterday, the EG. Last hour could have made a few pips as you can see but I don't think I necessarily would have got on it because it was coming strongly at me.

However observe my trade from yesterday the red arrow, which I marked yesterday. I did take that trade and there is nothing I can say as to why I took it other than it met the criteria and did move nicely away toward my +5. I only traded a short time and may have closed this one out when I left. But look at what it did. The kind I like to see. Taking my partial profit at +5 Either moving the SL up or just leaving it alone, this guy moved steadily up all day and into the next.... to the tune of +108. Not bad.

Didn't see any cautions on that trade. You just happened to catch the Yen weakening across all pairs. The vagaries of trading. Correction strong against all.

exactly lol! ive come to notice that all of my losses ive incurred using this technique have been when an 'all pair' move happens in a specific currency. i lost in G/U yesterday in such a similar fashion. wonder if theres merit to paying attention to an index of the specific currency your trading in conjunction with this method. maybe if you see the currency making a similar move in all pairs through the index you can tell that that's a real move about to happen or not who knows
