Here is the indicator I used to make the basket (by Paradox). Just input the pairs you want to trade with a comma separating them (e.g. EURUSD,GBPUSD). Then on the next line use either 1 or -1 to indicate buy or sell.

Thanks so much to all you doing hours of work on the data analysis for time of entry and best SL/TP, and of course, xmess, who is giving his time so generously and is so professional to work with. I had an idea to help visualize entry according to the charts. At first I thought I would have to make notes on each chart in the suggestion and decide whether to enter or not. But I just had a new idea -- and I have no idea yest if it will be helpful or not -- to create a basket chart of the trade suggestions and see if a good entry time could be seen...
Ignored
I had this idea before and I wrote about it during the week . https://www.forexfactory.com/showthr...10#post9642010. I would suggest to track individually each pair in order to see how is going on with . Then decide which pair to trade and wich to wait . This method is under tracking especially for the coming weeks where we may face negative results.

Thank you for your contribution AJS5274. I attached a chart that Tiiva published here , as a case that you can use, in order to note the point where you closed the trade or where it seem good to close the trade with your method.

mfawaz,

Right now, the EA can only trade the whole basket. If you can enter your trades manually, then you can pick and choose which pairs to trade and that might be the best approach. If this can't be done (e.g. LO is in the middle of your night or you have a full-time job and any other reason, the best thing to do is use the EA. At some time in the future, when xmess posts the final bug-free version, he is going to make it available for modification and someone who can code might want to make it possible to trade or not trade certain pairs from the basket suggestions.

Regards,
Gila

I see at least a 2oo pip move from 8am onwards until Tuesday 2am. I am planning to lock in pips at +150 for +50 pips next week.

Fluctuation is very hard to let you in the trade unless you have a long SL > 300 pips (for a basket of 10 to 12 pairs).
What I did is a screening in order to see where my basket dont trigger the SL level with our ruining my balance and I found the SL 400 acceptable.
A lock profit or at least trailing Sl at level 0 is vital to secure a non red result.

Actually the CCPF indicator allows to trade or no any specified currency. We can post the market sentiment here on Monday morning in order to decide witch trade to take.
We open first window with CCPF indicator without the EA and the second window for the trade . We will run the EA after this check and setup .
A path to test.

Yes you can use the EA on a VPS and It will run all the time. Personally I'm planning to do that soon.

Yes I understand what you are saying at present I can only look at the closed price charts I have seen and I will only be opening 8 trades at any one time.

Anyone willing to help with the backtest charts for the hourly high / low price to speed the process up?... If so PM me.

{quote} L.m: I was thinking about the same thing. In my case I am trying to control the cpu/memory imprint of the EA. So at first I limited the EA to recording the pip total once every hour. But then I saw that the EA was not loading the system that badly (3% CPU and about 450Megs of RAM), so in the latest version I raised the resolution to once every 15min. I think the graphs that I post give the impression that more points are recorded. BTW those graphs are just me opening up the csv file in excel then automatically applying one of the graph templates....

I guessed in fact you limited the check points due CPU concerns, glad you could already increase the frequency.

You're right anyway when you say you wanna fix the EA before making any change.

{quote} Hi L.m , can you run a backtest for 2016 from January to December and share with us now that we have the past weekly buy and signals that was compiled by Smoothtrader using the the same TP and SL criteria you used in this excel result you compiled? I am still trying to figure out how to run the backtest in Excel lol...though this backtest may not be accurate , it will be worth looking at....When i complete my learning on how to run backtests in Excel i will run backtests and share results..Hope you consider my request
Ignored
It will take time to do this thing and since Smoothtrader is about to get his project done, I think it's more useful to help him do that backtest. Also because it would be a sort of a duplicate of what we will see with it.

Anyway, in the meantime I'll set up a spreadsheet and download the data to produce the charts and will share the file so that if the community think it would be useful to have it, we can join the forces.

{quote} Hi SmoothTrader, many thanks for the enormous effort you made to come up with this history data from the CCFp_Diff_V2 (1) indicator. Can you please share with us the way / methode you managed to retrieve this data? Thanks in advance! Kind regards, piet.

Sorry for the delay Good Sir.

I used the pdf provided by Tiivaa in post 1907 as the basis for the way I gathered data. Basically, you use the MT4 Strategy Tester set to Indicator to collect the signals from past weeks. Be sure to use the <Indicator properties> tab to change the length of the CCFp-Diff_[v2.0](1).ex4 to 10080 to correspond to a weekly signal. Then I would use date from the Sunday to Wednesday for the week you are interested in. After you hit the Start button the signals will appear and at that point I took a screen shot of the page with the signals. From there you would repeat the process by changing the date of the Sunday and Wednesday that you were interested in. I did this 273 times to amass the screen shots of all the weekly data. Then I transfered the data collected, one week at a time, into the spread sheet I provided in post 1130.

In a nutshell, that's how I did it. If you want more detailed information, please PM me and I'll be glad to share it. I also have all the screen shots saved, if you want to go over them too.

GREEN pips to one and all.

My trade signals are the same as both ForexPinBar's and Ranger lp.

The other annomoly that I notice is that your bar ends in roughly 14 hours while ours end in roughly 23 hours. Some one more knowledgeable can probably deciffer the actual cause.

My settings for this week are starting at 10:00 GMT with a SL of 400 pips (16 positions * 25 pips per position = 400) and my TP is set to 1200 pips (SL * 3).

It's a new week and may our planning and patience payoff with many GREEN pips for one and all.
