{quote} Look at the logs and see if there are any errors or whatever. Either you ran out of margin, which I don't think you did. The ea will check for that and stops trading if that is the case. Or there was an error when trying to open the trade. I've tested like 15 times with 3 different brokers and also with and without suffixes. So far I have not had a trade missed. USDCHF I saw that one open many times. So it has to be some sort of error..

hi guys, just to give my findings so far - I am experimenting with opening a basket of trades with individual stop loss and take profits of 150 and 300 respectively. I opened all my trades manually at 9am GMT on Monday so an hour after the London open. I prefer this angle as trading without a stop loss on a basket of trades seems a little scary in light of recent events such as the CHK incident and the GBP flash crash - in light of this I have also disabled all GBP and CHF pairs on the indicator.

The GBP pairs are also more volatile so it makes a generic stop loss of 150 pips per trade more acceptable across a basket of trades. I have attached the Trade Monitor just to show the basket's progress in the table on the screenshot, but I am managing the basket manually and will close it on Fri evening if take profits/stop losses are not hit before.

I also created the attached spreadsheet to calculate the lot size for each trade across a basket of trades in accordance to the number of trades the Indicator gives at the start of the week and the % loss you are prepared to take if every trade is stopped out at 150 pips. I have only 8 trades showing due to disabling the CHF and GBP pairs.

BTW, pip gain on screenshot should be about 500 pips - probably cos I only attached the EA yesterday (?) but the % gain is accurate for current basket.

Just an observation: Wouldn't it make sense to come up with a risk reward ratio per pair traded with this strategy rather than arbitrary numbers for the basket since it's size varies substantially from week to week? As an example, if we decide that the risk reward ratio should be 50 pips take profit and 20 pips stop loss for a given pair - then a basket with 5 pairs would have a take profit of 250 and a stop loss of 100 and a basket with 10 pairs would have a take profit of 500 and a stop loss of 200 and so on?

I closed now my trades opened on Monday at London Opening.
The attached graph show the fluctuation that I noted during the last 3 days. We need a good risk management in order to turn the loss to a profit.
I closed it manually at a profit of 800 pip. Maybe the system will make more pips but i think it's a good result till now.

Happy green trading pips to all of you.

{quote} I opened my basket on Monday exactly when London opened but my basket closed out for a loss of 200pips..So how come you still have your basket running?Doesnt make sense..Unless maybe you opened your basket an hour after London open..

Hello FXPB,

For your information I have included a snapshot of a basket still running from Monday. This one was opened at 08:00 GMT but used a D1 time-frame not W1 and it's been in and out of profit all week.

What I find curious and am unable to understand is the amount of margin used for these 8 trades, the other Global Prime demo account, same parameters as this one, reports margin used as one would expect. This is not necessarily a CCFp issue but if anyone has any bright ideas I would love to hear them.

Hello Jess,

This is an interesting, if not totally unexpected, development .

May I ask why you have chosen to go down this particular route?
