Alright, some financial reports/events are due in 30 minutes or so : UK RICS House Price Balance, Australian New Home Sales, NZD Reserve Bank Governor Wheeler speech and Australian Business Confidence report, so let's see what the GBP/AUD and GBP/NZD are up to...

Hmmm....right now the GBP/NZD is saying "Don't mess with me man, don't even think about it!"
So I guess I will leave that wild wild beast alone for now.

Bought GBP/AUD 1.6410, 35 pip stop.
Let's go.

(Technically we have a breakout from a descending channel by the way):

And as expected, the cable was unable to break through that big fat candle (see chart). In fact, it could easily reverse the entire intraday trend.

The lines you see on the chart are the 25%, 50%, 75% intraday Fib levels (well almost).

By the way, the astute day trader can construct good trading systems just with these simple levels (some traders call them Quartiles)...

I knew it I knew it, the winning horse was the GBP/NZD, not the GBP/AUD.
They say the most uncomfortable trades are usually the most profitable, how true!

Oh well, GBP/AUD is still making me money (20 pips so far), now let's see how high it goes...

Sure, but the GBP/CHF is going nowhere at the moment, no real trend, it's just garbage, small 60 pip daily range so far, I will pass.

May be & all possible as it is not a matter of day or 2 , anyway 1.2463 just breaks is likely before the break up for the level & much more .same condition in other pairs also , e.g. gbpjpy. market still not in the context of reversal , just a correction before further fall or questions of reveral may arise next , 1.3300 or 1,34+ on the table . take care ,

So you are bullish GBP/USD on the 30-min chart, Fontu, yes?

Here is another totally different (and equally possible) scenario on the same exact time frame you are using.

As you can see we have a double price rejection at the 50% fib level. This price behavior has serious bearish implications...

yes all possible , I will wait 1.2463 breaks down & next reaction as it may breaks up & hold then test long will place, alternately breaks previous top 1.2550 & hold also .no short for currencies except usd for me . even if scalping very limited it will be .fontu

I have only just started looking into engulfing patterns.. find them quite interesting... how is this one can anyone enlighten me? a bearish engulfing followed by a bullish engulfing... what are the things I should look out for in this trading style? btw my buy isnt based off the bullish engulfing just trying a small buy here
