Morning, all.

GU came good, though not quite as big a move as would have maybe expected, still bagged +8 on the first drop, which will do me fine.

If I could have stayed awake all night, I could have added another +10 on the second.

Too this short off EG and got +5, took some profit and put on a trailer.

I had my stop in as news triggered movement and kept me out of trouble. On this next hour it settled in for a perfect set up, though I was busy looking at other things this trade would have gotten +22 and looks like it may continue down.

evening Peoples , would it be helpfull to learners if you dragged your trades onto the chart like so? easy enough to do and makes it lots clearer what has actually been done ..... just a suggestion cheers SP

We do not do it that way here.

As TS says, not what we do.

For me, if nothing else, I do not place my trades on the broker that carries my charts as I run multiple methods but place all my trades with the same, live, broker. All my methods have a dedicated set-up just for them.

Would have been a bit hairy for a while, with the stop further away than I personally would have liked if it had triggered early in the life of the bar but maybe good for someone?

Not all of the charts posted are from actual trades, but also from potential trades and moves to keep an eye on. If you follow the method, entries are very specific. But not everyone does the same exits; TPs and trailing stops are different depending on the individual. If you don't know how they manage their TPs you won't get much by watching the trade itself (to be honest, I think it would've confused me a bit when I first got here ).

Hi starpro. Don't know why you feel the need to come in with snide comments - but hey, I'll do you the courtesy of answering politely on top of Rfs199's own answer above.

Entries into 1-2-3 trades are incredible specific and precise. Anyone who has learned the method can look at a blank chart and see immediately where the trades are. If they can't, then they need to go back and read some more. There is no ambiguity in 1-2-3 entries. None.

Here, we will post upcoming set-ups as we see them appear. We want traders to learn to stand on their own two feet, not spoon-feed them. After that post, the individual trader will go and make his / her own evaluation of the viability of the potential trade, going through the rules checklist for themselves - not blindly taking someone else's lead. We're not a signals service.

After that, whether or not anyone actually took the trade is completely immaterial, as all that matters is how that individual trader's own decision pans out. Nothing else matters.

Now, as Rfs199 also points out, once the trade is running, we all tend to have developed exit strategies to suit our own styles of trading. This is part of an ongoing process within the group. This again, is something that newcomers can begin to work out for themselves, with input from those of us trading 1-2-3 willing to give input if / when asked.

If I have posted a set up, then I will always try and do a follow-up post, whether or not the trade was taken. None of these will show an actual trade as I do not place trades on the brokers that carry my indicators, as I run multiple methods through the day.

I know others do the same. It is not a requirement to do a follow-up - those of us here trading full-time, or with aspirations to trade full-time - are often busy elsewhere, you know...trading.

Why don't you take the time to have proper look at 1-2-3 and see if it suits your style / needs. If it does, welcome aboard...if it doesn't, I wish you well in your search elsewhere.

Either way, I see no point in you staying around being a troll.

I came in with a suggestion to help newbies who may look in ...... and find it hard like i did for a while ...only to be shot down in flames .... ,I dont see how it can be spoon feeding showing AFTER the trade is done ... ...cheers and good fortune

Hello guys.
At first I would like to thank to TooSlow for sharing his system. I have heard a lot of great references to this system from few people, and also this thread is the proof also.
I tried to write EA for this, but it ended with bad results. Equity were going directly down. So I would like to ask you, what everything are you considering before entering the trade.
I wrote EA exactly as pictures above describes, but for sure I will write it down here:

1) I check daily High and Low. If previous candle is above daily High (or bellow daily low) ->
2) I check if current candles High tried to reach high of previous candle (in EA described as "if current candle High is in interval <High of previous candle ; half way between close and High) ->
3) I check if current price is below Open of current candle (in case of daily Low, if current price is above current candles's open)

4) I enter the trade in oposite direction (If daily High I SELL, if daily Low I BUY)

It went bad in backtest. So I tried to add point 3a) which is if previous candle is so big (big momentum) - I mean X times bigger than average of Y previous candles I do not enter the trade. It went bad also.

Is there anything I am missing ?

EDIT: i forgot to mention I use TP and SL 10 pips. And ofcourse i tried a lot of combinations like TP 10, SL 30 and all went wrong :/
EDIT2: I also tried time filters - as trade from 8am to 4pm and etc.. (in European time)

Before writing an EA, learn how to trade the system manually.

If you really want to try this out I suggest you read the whole thread.

Why are you using arbitrary fixed stops without considering the daily low/high? The SL is not going to be the same in every trade. Also, you're not considering breakouts.

As TooSlow said, try this manually first.
