This is what I meant about the signals - the tdi used is the one that stays as it is at the beginning of the candle and not refreshed. Taking this mornings signals purely on support/resistance good tdi cross and higher timeframe tdi these would have been taken no wonder eelfranz filled his wheelbarrow with not much difficulty. Others signaled but either had not closed below a pivot or were hovering above. These are only on the ones I watch and I watch 8 pairs.

I am trying to Develop Trend directional long term trading strategy. In the Daily chart.
Any suggestion all ff expert friends.

Is 5 representing Median Price and 3 representing Exponential? My TDI settings has no number settings for this two items.

hello Griffin, after 9 months lurking around here learning about TMS finally i forced my self to sign up and join in order to get answer for my un answered question.
i see that you are not using 5 ema instead of ema/sma 1 without shift3 to mimic line chart maybe? how did you trade with that line chart+HA+TDI cross?
please give me some light

Take a look at the timeframe higher in this case h4 when that trade would have been taken.

Even Big E with all his 6,000 trading hours experience and knowing how to pick only the best setups had 20% to 30% failed trades despite his quick exit style.

Every trade setup has it risk. This trade setup for example has one risk if you apply Post#647 as your pre-trade checklist and that has nothing to do with H4.

Learn to trade and look for A+++ setups.

What is A+++ setups? have been asked many times and answered by me that same number of times. Do not mix up with AAA setups LOL.

TDSI (10,5,34,3,1,7)

5= Typical Price
3= Period of the Price Line or commonly known as the Green line.
1= Exponential moving average

In this 5-Method, we use the 5EMA, Typical Price, Shift+3 as the direction of our trades.
Price action above the 5EMA is buy only.
Price action below the 5EMA is sell only.
Every other moving average you add on your charts are your own choice and you must have your own reason why you use them.

The TDI shows us the momentum of the price not the price trend. But when both the price trend and the momentum trend are in Synergy, then we are in the business to make money.

but if you want to use the TDI which is the RSI to determine the market trend, then you must study this book.

If you have bad R:R, then you need to change that. I do not take a trade when the potential R:R is less than 1: 1.5.

That EURNZD trade was not that attractive because this whole week it has been in narrow range as I saw that in H4. Also it is coming out of the bearish move on D1. This is the same with the other pairs EURAUD and EUCAD which I compare all the time in my 16-pairs selection.
Nevertheless, that setup was okay in my view despite the risk I see to the left of that H1 chart. I would have taken that too if I am trading H1 entry following the D1 chart master candle breakout setup. I don't have a problem with that potential R:R 1:1 because I know my expectancy is 2.5 and with my win rate of 65% I wont suffer if that turn out to be a loser.

I can trade the Asian and London session because of the time zone I live.
I check my charts once every 4 hours and it does not have to be the H4 candle close time.
The best time for me to place my trades is usually when Tokyo open, then once every 4 hours later.

I dont like to trade H1 intraday so much these days because there is too much market noise during the day.
If I am at my PC in the mornings, then I trade H1/M15 for 15 to 20pips using the SYD_2H range.
Most of my trades are done with the D1 and W1 charts view as my dominant trend.

Sigh...Post #647 has been referred to a thousand times. So exactly what is wrong with this trade?

First, I am not 'Master Emmanuel' but just an ordinary human being and trader.

I see a H4 Master Candle MC[3] on your chart and that is market consolidation.
We do not trade when we are in consolidation or near a cpnsolidation (Post#647)
We trade the breakout of the consolidation in the direction of the 5EMA and the TDI. This works 80% of the time.

Another way is to trade the lower TF but have a view to that MC[3] and 5EMA direction..

How close is that H1 setup to a to a previous high?

is that not obvious on your chart? that swing high yesterday.... resistance.
