this is bad when pre-asian session has the ability to move this pair more than europe+us combined.
It's market and ur technicals and even chats here have told you that GU shall rise higher and so it did, weekly pivot has been breached, that foretells an up trend is setting up.

And longing GU .. I scalp so i dont care but for any swing trader going against a long term trend is not really smart. And even on longer TFs I dont see any real technicals/breaks yet that would show changing of this beside the short-term break of weekly pivot (which doesn't mean a thing unless daily closes above). US dollar index shows something like H&S which would suggest more dollar weakness but needs to be confirmed when it reaches the long term resistance/sup line.
There were zillions of bad calls in this chat over the last few months.

Yes, its fair to say that quite a few us us took a bit of a kicking in the Flash Crash - myself included (Down over 8% this month - unpleasant but recoverable).
Technically there is a lot of unfinished business above and if you go back a few weeks its clear several of us were trading into target points at 1.31600 (and above).
For the over leveraged the 'Flash Crash' may well have taken their accounts and highlights why using lower leverage for trades held overnight and weekends is the only way of surviving these market anomalies / black swan type events. (stops aren't always honoured).
Anyone who trades for 12months+ is likely to witness these occurrences (they are becoming more frequent nowadays)...What matters is that when you find yourself in one...you survive, wounded - yes but not defeated.
I've posted this chart last week so this is merely an update..The target levels are clearly highlighted (blue horizontal lines) and interestingly GU has moved away from the downtrend lines...a retrace below 1.22000 would warrant an addition in to the long campaign from my end.
..Of course you may see things completely different - and that is what makes a market
