That's what makes this move down on Cable ludicrous....from what I've read (and I can't remember the indicators) there are 3 main indicators that show the British economy outstripping the Euro economy yet Cable is getting hammered....

The EU leaders don't want Brexit to be the start of something else (other countries leaving)

So they figure if they are really tough on the UK - it will stop other countries from leaving

Yes that's what has triggered the sell off for sure....

The fear mongers fear that Britain will be cut off from the biggest market on the planet yet it makes no sense to stop trading with the second biggest economy in the region.

I think Cable is driven by sentiment this week. Technical analysis (which is predominately based on historic information) is very much a secondary consideration as we have not had a scenario like this before.
