I thought it would easily breeze past 2980, but over that price it's gonna hit 3000....

The structural high in the mid timeframe is 2987.

Cable has rejected a lower low on the swing down and is currently just shy of this high..This needs to go to favour Longs otherwise another flag has formed for more downward bias.

I would still class myself as being relatively inexperienced. I have however read a lot of stuff. Bought a lot of rubbish but also found a few gems. As a beginner checkout Cory Mitchell at vantage point trading and his Youtube channel. His book ebook is also great value.

Its slopped around this range all day hasn't it.

I'm trading it Long since last week and there appears to be accumulation around 2945 but I wouldn't be surprised to see another dump through 2915

How to get rid of a hedge GBP/USD of buy @1.3118 and Sell @ 1.2994? Can you advice any further hedge that can deal with parts and reduce risk of further loss?
seeking a expert advice.

Yeh, around 2967 is an important level if it drops below 2962 I am out for the day. Also I will close before the US presidential debate anyway, That could turn things back into silly season.

You shouldn't have even the long trade open still...but if it was my account, I would close the short at the end of today's session if we reach 2940-50 and leave the long open(with a hard target of 3250) and see what happens. That way you would make 170 pips+-.

it is interesting to see how overbought cable is in different retail platforms . forex factory shows 68% are long Oanda 72% - never seen such figures in last decade. Looks like retail traders are in for more shock

According to myfxbook, average longs starting at 3266, so far away...this is still a good area to go long, around 2950 or even lower.
