Hi to all comrades. Sorry for not contributing for so long, colleagues. I'm gonna try to start posting here again from time to time. Your questions are welcome as usual.

To revitalize the discussion I'm posting some of my current medium to longer-term views on a few pairs:

Medium-term (Likely targets in about 1-3 months period):
USD/JPY (currently at 1.3270) - extremely bearish. Makes sense to consider selling it next week with potential target at around 85 ( or even as low as 75 ) to be reached before the end of the year.
GBP/AUD (currently 1.7590) - bullish. 1.83 is a must medium-term with some potential to 1.87 and even 1.90.
Cable (currently 132.70) - bullish. 1.3700 is a must medium-term while 1.41-42 is quite likely).
Moderately bearish view on all other JPY crosses.
EUR/USD and USD/CHF - neutral for now.

Longer-term (Likely targets from about 12 months period and longer):
In general it's USD bullish.
EUR/USD - 0.82 is a must.
Cable - 0.95 is a must.
USD/JPY - the sky is the limit. 220 is quite likely IMHO...

I personally never trade any diamond like formations on intraday charts... they are not reliable and can easily turn into something else... in case you wanna see some real diamonds which are relatively fresh then here they are... two on the same chart... on the way down and on the way up.. both are at about same levels... both happen to be continuation formations... both have reached their measured objective targets...

hey igork...... 85-75 by year end..... that's an interesting usdjpy view...... you must see something i don't.......

if potiential of next qtr usd rate increases doesn't support 95, i would think abe would....... over looking some calamity that would force yen repatriation, it's dang hard for me to see 75...... though it would be a welcomed site.....

large specs are already so long the yen, seems the risk would be 120 by years end...... but again, 75 would be welcomed sight.....

148 has been my posted target for 4 years now (http://www.earnforex.com/forum/threads/usdjpys-mount-fuji.10629/)..... wish i'd listened to enivid back then and held those longs..... i will not screw up a second chance......h
to trade and code, keep both simple... no call to impress....h

on the very long USD/JPY run the upper trendline is a magnet... next approach to it means a guaranteed break higher...and there the sky is the limit indeed... however it might want to finish forming a fully legit wedge which lower border can be projected to about 75 level...

P.S. but it might not be a sustainable move down at all, but some sort of a short term aberration caused by some crazy sort of news... similar to the one artificially created by SNB on the swissy or Brexit decision... about its possible nature we can only speculate but upcoming US elections might cause something like that... for example in case Hillary collapses of her brain failure on the spot during her inauguration ceremony or Trump gets shot on his presidential speech... whoever gets elected this time are unlikely to last for long... Hillary - because of her apparent medical conditions and brain damage, Trump - because he already became quite a juicy target for a possible assassination... therefore on those elections we more than likely will have to chose between their vices rather then between the presidential candidates themselves... so, we can definitely expect a huge shift in the market prices in case something of this nature takes place in reality...

for the moment the only sure trade and sustainable trending thing can be seen on gbp/aud medium term... today's clear break out of its broadening wedge guarantees extension to its minimal objective target located at around 1.84...

thank you... still working on the book... the delay was initially related to some family matters... don't know when it will be published yet... quite busy with trading recently...
sorry, don't have any views on gold as I don't trade it...

Thanks for reply, good to see you back to contribute in your thread. Think I have to reread your book again, which setups from the book do you think still works best intraday/weekly?

I like 18.4, but I think its hard to sort out which to execute.

Which pairs are you looking at nowadays?

you're right... 18.4 is the ultimate strategy... can be used on all time frames...
for the moment i'm looking to buy some cable on dips and to short usd/jpy at around 103.20-40 with stops above 103.80 to target the retry of 100.00 level once again...
gbp/aud also has a great potential on the upside... 1.8300 is a must...

gbp/aud at the beginning of the week still looks very promising indeed... a potential intraday correction to about 1.7495 i would consider as a buying opportunity...
would also recommend today (if any chance) selling usd/jpy at 103.20-40 zone to target 100.00 with stops above 103.80...

Hello Igrok,

Price of USDJPY is currently 102.32. In order for it to reach 103.20 it obviously needs to go up. Would you consider buying it?

No. I would't because the upside seems limited at the moment. Besides there is no reliable level for stops on long usd/jpy position.

Not really looking for signals to be honest.

Just seeing a few of these diamond formations playing out. Didn't used to think they were tradeable but have changed my opinion on that.

EJ looks less complex than UJ though.
