@goldgirl- we are discussing rules listed on post#1 only. Looks like you are experimenting so many other startegies?

Yeah. I normally combine a few indicators in order to do my entry and exit. This is for a better percentage of confirmation. Anyway, on D1 chart USDCAD is crossing above the SMA (5,0) and on 3rd D1 upside candle now. Would expect for a "breathing" period.

Yep - we earned 140 pips on UC today so far

You tolled us to use SMA of 5 period and 3 shift according to this setting still their is no trade but if we use 5,0 setting then there is a Great trade

Great system! The psychology part starts when you're holding trades and trying to set stop losses.
Here's a link to a trade simulator with great scripts and a nice tutorial on how to use it. I found it good for practicing my exits.

That could be useful. Although i used my EA to test this strategy at it seems to check out. Even when you take into consideration that the EA takes a few bad trades and can't spot sideways movements as good as we can.

Bk8, you mention you tested this strategy for about 6 months with the old SMA (5,3). What was your average monthly gain and maximum drawdown?

This really is a simple strategy and seems too good to be true! But everyones results are really good. The new SMA(5,0) rule seems to be giving us better entries than the original rule, how did you decide on the original 5,3 shift?
