I'll say it again.....

That was a very clean 120 pips move up in 20 minutes with very little retrace on stella Fundamental data....so do you think it's now going to suddenly turn around and head south while waiting for a major piece of Fundamental news (NFP) out of the US tomorrow???

Devils advocate

One thing to bear in mind is manufacturing will have got a huge boost purely from the GBP interest rate being reduced. British exports are just that little bit cheaper. I believe UK paniced and made a mistake decreasing rates.


The big funnymental for me is what US are going to do with their interest rate.

Pros
In Yellens last speech she was more hawkish.
Her colleagues have also publicly asked for a rate rise.
Inflation is creeping up but is being held down by low oil price, so if we start seeing oil rising quickly this will fuel the fire.
Labour market has pretty much peaked to full employment.
Wages are starting to increase.

Negs
US presedential election

To me it is looking like a rate rise is very near. Fincancials now have given a 30% chance of rate rise in Sept and 60% in Dec.

Hey I'm with you there, it's just that Actionmoney was saying within 2 to 3 hours Cable was heading south, with what's just happened I wouldn't be putting the house on it...

That's screaming Bullish to me....4 hour crashing through some serious levels

I'd like to be wrong because I would short the sucker and clean up.....but must just trade whats presented to you

Apologies if I sound a bit frustrated here, it's just people talking about this heading south at the moment when a bullish opportunity is staring them in the face, of course it will turn around at some point but I doubt it's today..

GBP is very strong currency atm on all crosses.

$ is appreciating vs every currency on my charts except GBP.

Revised Unit Labor Costs q/q 4.3%

Might be low on the radar
but shows you that the factor of percentage increase over the quarter period
might just suggest that not everyone is working in Mickey D's or for the Colonel..
