I am not sure I understand:
MT4 will generate fake tick if there is no tick data.

What if we generate 1 minute data from tick data and then generate renko.
Will mt4 still generate fake ticks? is there another issue of non-time based renko bars that confuse MT4, thus it generates fake ticks?

The answer is YES.
MT4 platform does not know from which source (real-ticks or anything else) the M1 candles have been created.

I've heard that offline charts do not work properly on Windows 10. I don't have Windows 10 OS on my computers, so I cannot possibly debug and fix this issue.
The Renko brick size is written in Points not in pips.

Thanks for replying. They are working well for me for the past several months now, I've been using the 4.13 pimped EA (I can upload the EA if you want). Having one EA to do all the work for several charts is better, so if you could figure it out of wild be great. Thanks again.

is this EA saves ticks ? meaning when u change TF in feeder chart or reopen the MT4 , the shape of bars whould change or not?

i need a "range bar " maker that saves ticks, so it dosnt change the shape after changing TF in feeder chart or reopening the mt4 ...

Another "thing" with available range bar makers is that you need to open loads of charts.
Maybe Mathtrader has something similar to his renko builder like "MathTrader7_RenkoMultiChartCreatorEA"
which only needs one chart for any amount of offline charts:

Version 1.48 of non-gap single symbol Renko chart creator EA released (I updated Post 1). In this version the user can set the number of look back bars.

The purpose of developing non-gap Renko builder was to make Renko backtesting more close to the real-world, where there is no real gap between open of reverse Renko brick and the close of the previous one.
By range bars, if you mean shifted Renko charts, then such charts consistently represent a non-existing gap between open of a brick and the previous Renko bricks which is against the purpose of this thread.

Just for curiosity, with no intention to start a flame discussion.
I compared one of your older EA backtests for the EURUSD 2010 on two identical charts, one rendered as the original Renko, while the other set as the non-gap. Since the tester used identical Dukascopy ticks I expected very close results. But surprisingly that was not the case, the results differed a lot.
So my conclusion was that those chart types were not quite compatible when tuning the EA (or perhaps only some EA).

Sure do they make a big difference in backtesting. backtesting on non-gap Renko charts is more accurate than that on standard Renko charts.

Well, I would not say more or less accurate, it seems like the EA places SL at different levels.

great creation @MathTrader, however it is repainting , do you know whats happening? I click on properties and click ok and most of times another chart patterns come up...
