Happy new year to all.
Strange thing happening. If I did not have a 1hr chart open to monitor the HTFs I would not have noticed this.
On the attached image if you look at the price you will see that there is a 5 pip difference between the Renko charts and the Real time charts, the Range Bar chart shows the same price as the real time charts.
This happens "only" on currencies.
On the other Index CFDs GER30,US30 US500 etc prices match up
The problem is identical on Live and Demo
It happens with different Generators, I have tried 3 different Generators. Renko Chart Suite (EA) STG Renko Generator (indicator) Renkolivecharts_pimped v4.13 (EA)
Range Bar charts work perfectly as you can see from the image.
Metatrader version 1065 under Wine and version 1090 under Virtual Box running Windows 7 Ultimate.
The problem first manifested just before Xmas prior to that every thing was working fine.

Any body encountered anything similar or have I been singled out yet again (aw poor thing I hear you say).

Looks like I am destined to talk to myself these days.
Thanks to Cfabian on another thread, I decided to try a commercial Renko Generator. But before that I tried an MT4 from another broker and that had exactly the same problem using the 3 Renko Generators mentioned in my first post, except, on the CFDs with that broker there was a 1 pip difference in the price between RT and Offline on GE30 (DAX) and 8 pips difference on EU between RT and Offline. Go Figure??

So as I have mentioned, I tried OVO's Commercial Renko Generator on both brokers and did not have a problem with either.
Conclusion.
Whatever the changes made on my system only affect the Free Renko Generators, but also judging by the lack of response have not affected other traders using those same free Renko Generators.
The changes on my system have not affected OVO's Renko Generator.

Obvious solution.

i just checked it, with my 3 generators (free) and i have the same problem.

really strange your problem.... tested it here too (for example also with STG renko) and as you can see, everything is ok

update: also tested renko_pimped_v4_13 (EA), everything ok here too with my mt4 (see 2nd screenshot)

I have experienced such discrepancies between quotes on off line charts and real time charts even with Ovo.
One free resource that I have found to outperform Ovo is this which I found on one of Ghosbiker's threads. I found it was created on a German Forum which I'm not ready to be a member of yet.

Check the free generator out, I am away from my computer, I would have tried to see the different views myself.

Hi Intrepidpips, thanks, I have tried that now and it has exactly the same problem, but it is starting to look like I am not the only one.
When you experienced this before how did you get rid of the problem?

So sorry to report that I have never been able to resolve them, I have not been consistently trading. I have the mind of complaining to Ovo once I find such again or maybe Pepperstone my broker.

A chap called Nicholishen on another thread I started has provided this indicator which fixes the problem. Place the indicator on the base chart and on the Offline chart and Hey Presto problem fixed.
