Sorry but I don't follow you Steve.
I'm taking off a hedge and whatever the result, I'm requiring EA_104 to offset that amount. Made 70$ on the hedge? Then I allow EA_104 to close 70$ lower. Lost 70$ with the hedge? Then EA_104 has to close 70$ higher. But either way is not a problem as the EA is starting with that additional number anyway, after all, we were hedged.

In case of DisableNTZD=True, What will happen to Neutralize orders? Should be closed manually? What will happen if market again move against original cycle? new Neutralize orders will be open? Please clarify.

is there a parameter to fix a level to stop and go into closure mode? e.g. start with 0.01, then 0.02, 0.04...and stop at 0.64?

I will continue evaluating this idea, I see its potential as a shifting/move zone strategy. I am testing it on 10 levels instead of 3 minutes before news and 30 minutes after news.
looking back into history, I did found out that EG104 symmetry mode makes more of its profit during news releases, and yes, more than one time it failed on news releases. Having this information on hand alert me that stopping trading on news is also losing opportunities. we should address scenarios when price is going against us only. Like 10 levels per example.
note that not only scheduled news releases are risky, some other unexpected events may move price against us.

Release EG104.034. What is new?

Delay symmetries execution stages.
The EA, when in symmetry, instead of opening a buy and a sell order at the same time and keeping at least one of both at all times (hedged), now the EA wait for a least half of the grid pips size pullback to enter the hedged order.
Example1: if EG104 start a new cycle with a buy order and set grid size pips at 18, the sell order will be executed after price moves 9 pips to the upside.
Example2: if grid size pips is 18 and the EA closes the buy leg for profit, it will wait for the price to move down at least 9 pips from the top of the cycle to execute a new buy order.

Parameter s_GridSizeFactor=4, default value for this parameter has been changed to 4.

New Parameters:
NeutralizeBalancePercent=0 : Now a grid cycle can be neutralize/hedge by EG104 NeutralizeBalancePercent or by DayTarget global NeutralizeBalancePercent or by neutralize horizontal line or by manual intervention. If you use this parameter, I do recommend values greater than 60%
ResumeNTZd=false. When this parameter is false, after the cycle is neutralized/hedged, the EA will pause execution. You must continue trading manually or using TradingLines. When this parameter is true, the EA will continue trading as normal, closing and opening orders at it levels. If NeutralizeBalancePercent has a value, you may get multiple neutralizations/profit taking orders. This scenario may expand the recovery zone and make the cycle look like it is losing more money.
s_WeightDirection=true: In symmetry mode, when this parameter is true, the EA will use its proprietary formulas to weight direction. If EA calculate long direction, it will double s_StartLotQty for buy orders, if it calculates short direction, sell orders will doubled, if direction is unknown, none direction will be doubled. Example, if EA define long and s_StartLotQty=0.01, the EA will enter 0.02 for buys and 0.01 for sells.

Note I am adding the file EG104.034 to post one. You may now download it and keep the older release. For now on, I will keep up to two releases on post one.

Hi Bauta.
Another using hedge - no open up hedge on achievement losses, but hedging by any newly open position already from the start.
Big advantage is non use martingale.
Unfortunately author this idea during creation EA left mathematically correct original idea, and resulted out.
Because I'm tested your EA and I know that there're technically and logically very good, try please put in your time this idea - possibly like enlargement your EG.

this is my experience:
from 01/08/2016 to 17/08/2016 my demo account collapsed with previous version EG104 (12 Aug version) with:

1. 0.01 lot
2. starting with 4285 EUR balance, according to i-minlot directions;
3. GridSizeFactor: 15 (scalping)

this is the same result on backtest:

Now backtest with new version, same period and same settings:


While this is backtest, same period, new version, but default parameters:


And this is with new versione but GridSizePips=0 and GridSizeFactor=0


So best result with EG104.034 with GridSizeFactor: 15, while previous version failed.

The EA is good, similar to my blessings EA that I have used for years. Basic concept, good concept, but not a concept based in anything other than MONEY MANAGEMENT.

Hedging is futile, as someone who has risked 10's of thousands of dollars trying to HEDGE my way out of grid trading, it doesn't work. There will always be a market condition that doesn't 'act' or 'behave' like the past or other. Backtesting is worthless if you think it is foolproof, but valuable if you use it as a basic guideline.

The author of this post has a good concept, a good philosophy, but he is being migrated to a different path of hedging and making it work in every condition. I believe you have two paths:

Design to 'add money' like you originally said
and/or
Design them to 'blow up' with enough money management to allow you to make it up

You can't use GRID traders to live in every market condition. Grid traders are meant to blow up at some point, the goal is to make enough in the 98% of the time they don't blow up to make up for the blow up enough time. In my opinion, you shouldn't be risking more than 10% of your account on a blowup as anticipated on 5% of the market conditions. It is also about timing, do you put a grid trader ON, when the market conditions haven't trended for many months, the indexes are maxed and fluctuating at High's, etc.. For instance, it is suicide to put a Grid trader on FULL SPEED AHEAD RIGHT NOW as market conditions are telling you that there is a squeeze to go somewhere, so using MONEY MANAGEMENT it is time to 'take it back a notch'. Grid traders are GREAT after a 1-2 MONTH Major trend move, as markets tend to calm down after that and fluctuate back and forth.

***Having said that, here is an issue with the GRID and FIFO. It closed the first 3 trades, but due to NEWS, it didn't close out the other trades in the stack. I suggest have a FIFO - T/F Boolean in there to accommodate FIFO and to check the basket constantly to verify all orders are in the basket. If #1 trade closes out, all trades should be closed out right? Or is this your intent?
