I have traded manually this way with almost 100% success rate. Automating it will make it a lot easier. I trade this way during very volatile times, like one minute after red news release or London and NY open because all you need is the price to move at least 5 pips in one direction and you exit the grid with pip profit. The good thing is that you can use it a lot during the day.

I trade this strategy after volatile events, I enter in one direction and TP 2-3 pips, if trade goes against me for 2-3 pips I hedge the trade with triple the volume and if the price goes 3 more pips in the same direction I exit with profit, but if the price retracts again after the second trade and comes at the same level with the first trade I hedge the second trade with triple the volume and if the price continues for 3 or more pips I exit with profit. So simple.

Thanks Roszey,

Yes it has similar elements but it is very complicated. The way I trade this strategy is after volatile events I enter in one direction and TP 2 pips, if trade goes against me for 2 pips I hedge the trade with double the volume and if the price goes 3 more pips in the same direction I exit with profit, but if the price retracts again after the second trade for 2 pips and comes at the same level with the first trade I hedge the second trade with double the volume and if the price continues for 3 more pips I exit with profit. So simple. If some one can make EA from these simple rules it would be nice.

Great natthapol.v, thanks a lot. It would be nice if these parameters also can be added so we can change them as needed.

StartLotQty, TakeProfit, OrderMultiplier and GridSizePips

Since i have received many PM asking for me to code EA for them. I would like to clarify here once more.

I don't code EA with no solid back-testing result. It just a waste of time to code an EA with no positive expectation.

I don't just randomly code EA for anyone for free too. It required time and effort to code working EA.

I know how to code EA and Indicators because I wanted to developed some tools for myself that help me make my trading decision easier.

I hope you all understand that.

Most of the time TP is hit after the second or third level and only once up to seventh level (buy and sell total 1,27 standard lot and around $60 DD) , if you start with micro lots it is very safe.

I don`t have an account just for this strategy, I take a trade when/where I see an opportunity, but on account of $1150 DD of around $55-60 is like 5-6 %.
It is very easy strategy and if it is automated it can be used very often, manually I just wait for after the red news release or other high volatility time of the day.

My quick&dirty (excel) calculations give me this: you used 0.03 lots, netto 1.29 lots (can't figure out how you get 1.27 lots ) after seventh level, and then you bag less than $20 (depending on pip value and $5 commission RT).
With the same 0.03 lots we get 1.65 if we win (0.45 after 2nd level).
So, if this is correct we would need many trades a day...?

When I will see it works well I'll post it.

My starting lot size is different and depending on the trading conditions, when is volatile I start with larger lot size (0.05-0.1) and when it is not I start with 0.01 lot size.
And yes if the trades hit TP in the second or third level the gains are small but you know at the end and on a long turn it adds up .

Just to clarify the first entry is random (buy or sell) or have you got another criteria?

2-3 minutes after red news I make a trade and I enter inline with the news (euro + news I enter long eurusd and TP 2-3 pips.
And on non volatile times I enter random.

Hello Guys!

I did not want to interfere, since Alberto_Jazz already mentioned in post #13, that he is already working on an EA, but, since I have gotten a friendly pm to give this EA a try, I have coded it, which you can find attached.

A few remarks:

  1. Since, according to post #17 the EA does not have a solid entry point. Due to this, I have added two buttons to the bottom left corner of the chart, which start a buy, or sell cycle.
  2. Because of the above mentioned reason, the EA wouldn't work in the strategy tester, so I have added two input selectors to the EA , which can bypass the buttons.
  3. According to my (fairly short) testing cycle, the EA works, however, I guess, the author of the idea didn't calculated with spreads. Usually, it isn't a big issue, but with such small pip targets it is, as you will see it in the results.
The two red lines in post #1 are calculated with (Ask+Buy)/2, which is the actual price line you can see on the chart.
Now, if you initiate a buy or sell order the order will be sent out with a spread on ask or on spread price, which is, on a lot of currency pairs equal or more than the target pip value, and above that, the threshold of hedge is, visibly also higher, since even, if the difference between the two red lines is the wanted 2 pips, the actual difference between the buy orders will be "spread for buy orders"+"Hedge threshold"+"spread for sell orders". (You can correct this, if you have a broker with fixed spreads, by lowering the hedge threshold.)
The closing values will also be bit off, since if the midline ((Ask+Bid)/2) reaches the target value, (which is in the EA, by buy orders Ask price+the target profit, and by sell orders Bid price+the target profit), the EA will close the Buy orders at Bid price and will close the Sell orders at Ask price.
  4. Additionally, in volatile chases, where there is higher difference between two ticks, since you have so low targets even for the hedge and even for profit taking, the EA might have issues if the tick contains higher price increment, decrement, than the targeted stop loss and it could easily miss opening a hedge trade by jumping it through above/below the close range.

Gorraf you are on the right track, thanks, you have automated most of the strategy that I trade (but the way the EA is it is not profitable and it needs modifications) ... today after GBP retail sales release I manually traded with multiplier 3 and this is the result I got :
