I was merely stating that while the balance of payments remains strongly positive (export more than they import) the Yen can go in only one direction over the longer term.

USD supported on the stellar jobs numbers. Another rate hike back on the table in Sept with the BOJ being more flexible to stimulate further. So either the DOW to 20,000 or a divergence with USD/JPY heading to 112 and US equities heading lower. One more push for the Nikkei into 2017.

Agree with you on that for now.
This was pure reaction trade.

Might push higher and higher but still expecting lower levels from here.

Then that would be Yen down / Dollar Up. I happen to agree.
Although IMO 106 seems a bit too optimistic for a bounce.

USD/JPY shows a bounce out of support, but again, capped perfectly by the first point of resistance.

Looking for an intra-day re-test to sell weakness?
