Both of you are right, but adrenaline and excitement should be searched for outside trading. In trading, we should only collect green pips in boring and slow fashion.
Even getting some adrenaline on Demo is not so good idea, becouse a bad habit or two can slip into Live trading ( but I do pump myself out with overtrading on demo from time to time )...so go make some X sports or such..but trading should be cold and boring.

And BTW, there is a little pproblem existing trading HTF during such events as NFP , BOE and FOMC like this week. It is called SH, bro. You know it yourself. But ok, we live , we learn. I will write to the MMs not to hit your stops..

EU- remains to be seen, since this is my only HTF trade. Safe at least until Friday. But thank you anyway.

hi guys..i want to hear about all the opinion from all of you regarding my drawdown..this acc actually had survive within 6 month..the profit are consistent but sadly my drawdown are very poor..this is because I am full time trader..since my acc had only usd1k usd...and then last but not least majority all of my entry had no stop loss... ionly have manual cut lost when my equity down nearly half of the size acc..do u guys think this is a bad habit or not or should I stay with this trade style as long as I can grow the acc..lastly I had withdraw all the profit and let aside the principal only..sorry for my English..here I attach my TE..take care guys

In my opinion its not a good way to trade, soon or later you are going to blow your account, i had once 1300% profit doing what you do, i had 3 trades, really bad trades and blew ,y account, so if you want to last on time, change that, or try to cover yourself. Always there is a first time for everything. Maybe if you have very small account, you can do that to grow, it is like gambling too, but then you have to change your style.

thanks for your reply..i am trying to adjusting my trading style..i totally agree with u..sooner when I get caught with bad trade I will lost my acc..but actually before this I had already try to discipline my trade using tight stop loss with proper risk n reward ratio...the problem is my stop loss hit and always more about 60-70% from be hit after that , price basically go to my plan n event hit TP...

hmm... well you have survived for 6 months, with some positive results overall. I agree with Brucasella1, in that it could be a dangerous way to trade.

I will tell you what I learned from a professional trader - You have to be comfortable with what you are risking per trade, per day, per week, per month, etc. in that you are confident with your ability to recover losses. Only way to know if your draw-down is "acceptable" is by your own experience and confidence. No one else can tell you what will work or not work for you.

Of course, you only asked for opinions, so no problem there. My opinion is that you are not comfortable with your draw-down/risk, otherwise, would not need to ask anyone else. Make sense?

6 months is a good stretch, but maybe you need a bit longer to build the confidence and improve your risk management?

You are welcome to join us and build on what you've already started. Then after a year (for you, maybe only 6 more months if things go well for you), see what improvements you can make and how much more confidence you have.

NP, we all make mistakes, have been making them and will be making them becouse we are not robots. You are fortunate becouse you only have to slightly modify your trading and focus on risk perspective a bit more. I agree with brucasella1 that trading without SL works until it doesn't work anymore. If after 5 years it is even more devastating. So plan your trades from the risk perspective, not from the profits perspective and all will be okay.

Just think about it, you earned in 26 weeks 1.600 X more than my bank would give me on yearly deposited $$$. No need for that really.
And another thing, yes, I wish good luck to all too...but in reality, luck has nothing to do with it if you plan your trades wisely.

thanks for the tips benaiah..I really appreciate that..yes u are right..i am not comfortable with this 50% drawdown..i afraid someday it will turn me off to bad habits..to be honest I am satisfied with my growth..i will think about it again..many thanks benaiah

thanks again..very nice explanation there..i appreciate that..i think I will adjusting my risk and reward ratio and stick for my system accordingly with proper SL and TP before entry..

I completly understand you because all trader suffer that, i can speak for myself. I hate when my sl is touched for a few pips and the tha trade goes with my plan, i hate that, and that makes me feel that im not lucky or that im not good at trading, etc.
But you need to develop your own way to trade, dont tray to be millionaire in one year, everybody wants and beleive thay can, and that a lie, maybe some can do that with luck, and then they have to change the way they trade to preserve that account. Dont try to make 30% profit in one trade, i hear that some trades use 2% risk in a trade, and the look for 4% risk, so its a 1-2 risk reward. I use 6.5% risk per trade, and thats a lot, but my account is very small, and i want to make it interesting. I love trading, i hate not having much time to do it, i hate loosing, but we need patience and really beleive that we are not going to be millionaire in one year or 2 or 3. if you are consistent with a good drawdown you can also get funds from other people to trade with that. Imagine an 200 thousand dollars, with a 2% profit per trade.
Clues:
Be consistent
Small drawdown
Profit= or more than Risk per trade.

Myself are trying to fight with a lot of issues that i need to fix to be a good trader.

There is another weapon against Stop hunts: re-entry or switch trade direction. Try it out on demo that you get the feeling for it becouse it needs some time to master properly.

thanks a lot brucasella for sharing your experience and give me a very nice tips..i will take your advice..yes it is true..i also agree with u that to be a consistent trader we need to maintain our drawdown as less as we can to avoid our emotion that can lead to more stress and that can abandoned our system in trading..another question..i also have another problems regarding moving my entry to BE..same problem as before I put my SL...whenever price go 20 to 30 pips I move to BE then price come to my BE and than reverse back to my TP..so, right now I only move to BE when price above my entry at least 60 pips from my entry...
