I would not say the UK stabbed EU in the back, remember probably 95% of all the political leaders publicly supported the EU but couldn't convince the population enough to stay. one reason is that voters 25 and under couldn't get of their lazy arses and get to a polling station and then complain bitterly about losing, 2nd reason is for the first time in recorded history wages growth has fallen and thirdly unchecked immigration.

The lesson there for the unelected Euroland bureaucrats is actually listen to the people instead of forcing them to comply to something that's only going to make them unhappy.
Eurolands only got itself to blame for it's arrogance and stupidity.

The pressure on the pound may never go away until BOE make it clear what they want to do, it maybe "sell the rumour buy the fact".

Maybe under 1.3 will be the new "norm" for a while
