Just a thought. I think that someone's reputation take place only when it is well defined the identity of related person. Otherwise it could be a bot. Since none here tells and proves his real identity (first name, last name, date of birth etc) there shouldn't be any reputation. And this shouldn't be retroactive. If tomorrow someone proves his identity this shouldn't be applied to past imputations.
If you can find any information regarding this argument I would appreciate. This is just my idea because I think there is a detachment between real person and virtual person otherwise well defined they are the same.

Ah indeed a valid point of summary however we are not in the modus operandi of achieving guilt, for that cannot be created without justification. What we can establish is a thought process leading us to doubt, after the fact ofcourse. Not that we doubt that the proven situation is beyond comprehension, it is doubt in its simplist form that of proving doubt beyond a reasonable doubt.

Did he say that - can we prove this.
Did he mean that - can we prove this.
Did he say that and when - can we prove it.

A standard of proof that must be surpassed to convict Reasonable doubt is a standard of proof used when a defendant is prosecuted, the prosecutor must prove the defendant's guilt Beyond a Reasonable Doubt.

There are no "pit sessions" or "open outcry" in a 24h FX market. And neither has there been for currency futures in over a year.

Before "quoting" Dalton, one should realize "the Context" of his statements, to the actual markets he trades.

The context of all his "concepts" refer to exchange traded markets. He has never traded Forex, or Currency Futures. He was a bond trader, and trades the S&P, which does still have a pit session.

"Other open outcry pits have similar unique situations that create dilemmas for users where the pit is the catalyst for trades. Proper analysis should be conducted for every market. In fact, the decision to close the futures pits includes an exception for the S&P contract. For contractual reasons relating to the delivery of S&P options, the exchange is maintaining the underlying futures pit."

pit sessions are only applicable to markets that have daily exchange hours and actual exchange floors.

Its one thing to break a 24h market into manageable time frames/time zones, but it is misleading to call them pit sessions. If you subjectively break your data into manageable timeframes/time zones, call it for what it is, but it is misleading to others to call them pit sessions, without explaining what pits you are referring to.

There hasn't been a pit session in currency futures in over a year. The fact is the futures pits have been transacting less than 1% of CME volume for several years now.

The only pits available today for currency are the option pits.. could you be more specific in your definition of a pit session or what pits you are referring to? And what makes it applicable to spot forex, in the absence of an actual trading floor (pit session)?

Over the years at the Factory if you read some of the spats between the trading handles a trend has formed.

In the beginning, a somewhat well written or graphically interesting personality will emerge.
They will post and banter in a friendly way and then carefully build up credibility and a following.

Then, all of a sudden they come out with a subscription service, manager accounts or something of the like.
Because trading is not something everyone can do.... People part with money. They "trust" a handle on an internet billboard.

Instead of doing a thorough background check they simply send money to "the wonder Trader"
and the next thing you know.... Someone buys the top of the CAD and goes into a 63% drawdown. Or they just vanish.

Has this kind of thing ever happened at the Factory? Of course. Does it follow a certain method and does it appear in more than one instance? It does.

We use this forum to share ideas learn and keep each other company while the market steals our money. But you have no idea who is on here or what their intentions are .

There's money to be made in many ways from the market and the trader.... Wolves... wolves everywhere.

Hi mzvega,
a floor trader stepping by the floor. Have you aver think at that very common event? What sort of practice and memory do you think he could carry forward in his or her future trading experience in front of a monitor? Jim Dalton "has been member of the Chicago Board of Trade as well as a member of the Chicago Board Options Exchange, and Senior Executive Vice President of the CBOE during its formative years" Fine. Have you aver think to the fact that he left the floor decades ago and he still was working (for many aspects) as he was still there? Sure the pit session doesn't exist in forex as a formal timeline, but professional forex trader, especially those who trade intraday are ex floor traders coming from the floor. Aren't they? And this is the only reason the pit references still works as a clock even in the forex.
I've heard directly by his voice(Mr.Jim Dalton), and more then once, that the pit session doesn't exist in forex market. I've never said the opposite. And the same could be said about overnight, strictly speaking. But, you know what? Overnight price action is very often retraced by "Pit" hours. So why cannot I use this simple fact for my orientation and my trading decisions? You are speaking about legacy. I'm speaking about common practice. And unless you are a lawyer, the second one is more profitable in markets. Or at least for me.

On twitter, I like following people. this is why I always check SL levels of people and signals. If there is no signal, or risk/reward ratio is more than 1/4, I just stay away..
