you asked why price is heading south and I'm just offering up possible reasons, and I think it's because of dollar strength(possible rate rise in june) weighing on euro and profit taking after 200 pip move up on cable. Yesterday, I took a short position at 1.4605 n closed at 1.4590, but today I sell at 1.4660 (midpoint sell an area of 1.4620 - 1.4704, in my chart sell area is too wide as previously GBP big movement), now I still hold ...

My short 3 lots at 1.4660 n I make pending order buy 2 lots at 1.4550 n 1 lot sell, to keep the swing (direction ride back) ... pity GBP has not been down that far...
