UK retail figures out tomorrow - tricky this one. Retail Sales are expected to bounce back. Googling sales figures for April in the UK does not make good reading. Retail sales are supposed to be the worst since 2008. However looking at previous high -estimates - the results usually beat expectations. But there is usually a reason behind this. I can't find a reason for this April.

Looking at the FOMC comments yesterday - "the federal funds rate is likely to remain, for some time, below levels that are expected to prevail in the longer run. However, the actual path of the federal funds rate will depend on the economic outlook as informed by incoming data".

This says to me that the Fed is not going to raise rates any time soon unless things start improving. Well recent figures have provided some optimism- CPI, Retail Sales have beaten expectations. I can forgive poorish NFP figs this month as a blip.

Also have just checked Reuters who are stating that a June increase is on the cards. This is what traders are going to be looking at in the morning

So I am hoping that we have poor figures in the UK- and as we have an overbought market and the Fed potentially raising rates in June - it should give us a retracement from today's bull run, 1.45230 is a 50% retracement and a fractal area.

If Retail Sales beat expectations I would expect a muted rally and then a pull-back with a view to going long in the afternoon following US employment fig (as the sentiment on Cable is positive)

for me today is selling day at least until 1.4510 and then we will see how it goes from there,
and as i mentioned before also i like to trade Pound that means trading with not only USD but Yen and CAD too,
i will be looking to sell GY too not right now but i will do when i will see good trade.

About Brexit anything short of 60-65% vote will not do anything,
and let me ask you guys one key QUESTION some one asked me today,
how many big boys are in UK who have their money in BB Billions reserved in Pound,
and do you really think that if Pound Crashes say 15-20% on Brexit how hard will it hit the Economy and How Govt will Recover that,
its all Talk Talk just to Increase Votality of the market so Big boys can make few Millions thats all..
if that was even Nearly True only simple crash in Stocks can do real damage to Uk Economy and it is not easy to recover from that

Hey raffae, theres a lot of people who come here see it going higher, but retails sales are out soon and that will give it direction, I'm hoping for good figures to push it higher, see what happens
saying that it'll give cable direction is the general rule but sometimes as you know it'll ignore negative data and push higher anyway or vise-versa

I'd like it to hit 4630 before news then i'm out until after it...
