Cot report only dated till April 5th, look at price action on 6th/7th/8th, I dont think the long not taking profit and short not increased around 107.

Under 108 next week I reckon and more likely under 107 as well. I thin 105-106 is possible now

Suppose BoJ intervenes at 105, how will the price jump up?

I would be looking for shorting opportunities on the dollar yen to retracements of strong areas of supply(resistance) as the dollar yen is continuing this downtrend until a possible reversal from between 104.00 and 101.00.

Japan to Intervene in the Yen? Not yet say hedge funds.

Speculation as to when intervention in the yen will occur has been intensifying as the currency continues to strengthen. With an 11% gain so far this year, government worries on the competitiveness of exports increase. However, bets on increasing strength of the yen increased this week according to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Bullish yen bets are now close to the highest levels since 2008. So traders are saying "not yet" to intervention. A look at the USDJPY weekly chart above shows that previous resistance turned support, marked in yellow, at 105 seems the natural area for intervention to come into closer focus.

How is it "previous resistance turned support, marked in yellow" if it hasn't reach the yellow areas yet?

Confirmed support and resistance are after the fact.

61.8 RT is 109.095 of the range x2 after BOJ announced negative rates. watching 107.583, looking to long from 107.037 and 106.797 area, stops just below 106.55

I was in Japan just recently. The main people buying are the tourists which are mainly from China,Hong Kong,Taiwan and Thailand. The locals seem broke these days with little extra money for shopping and spending. Exports were horrible for first quarter. Question now is if there were enough tourists or visitors to make up for the locals which were not spending. To a degree there is but how much this helps inflate the local numbers remains to be seen. As you can see in picture below is that the Chinese are shopping and spending in Japan. Baskets are usually full!

fundamental will catch up sooner or later, yen at this level is just not sustainable. 105 or below, I am joining BOJ to sell.

107.65 after it could go as low as 105.20

USDJPY will go to parity, long way down from here still... I guess by end of 2016 we are there. Many brokers are already starting to quote it in 5 digits because of that upcoming scenario.

FxJunkies, I totally agree with you. I had a second look at the Dollar Yen and analyzed it. I could see the possible reversal in the weekly downtrend from that area I marked on my chart. I just refer to supply and demand rather than support and resistance. Price may begin to move sideways after testing that area, creating wide ranges of highs and lows before the big move to the upside.

Indeed confirmation is after the fact, but in looking for places where a down turn is likely to baulk they make good targets.
