Hi,

Big E uses the 5EMA Typical Price, Shift+3 to see the Buy or Sell direction when he traded H4 and H1 also in the old days when he traded M15.
Candle clsoe above 5EMA... Buy
Candle close below 5EMA ... Sell
But when he did so this way, there are no-trade zone which often led to losses.

We can still use this on D1 chart trading.
But I have another method when trading the D1 chart using market volatility which has history of 20 years. using this method also mean we get fewer trade opportunities on D1 chart Position Trading. I will not discuss this here in this thread since many members here do not want non-TMS stuff to be shared and discussed.

JPY pairs Mar14 market open.

Small weekend gap for AUDJPY and as in 80% of the cases, these gaps get closed. Some happen in the same day, other took many days to get filled.

I missed a H1 entry for AUDJPY when Tokyo open, it was a nice SYD_2H setup. Now I will wait for the H4 close.

NZDJPY D1 chart Mar14:

5-bars swing low happening now... wait or jump in in lower TF.... but first have you done your weekly top down analysis (or Big Picture Plan BPP) and have your trade plan written down. If you had not, better that you do not trade.

You need to identify the Support in this case and put the probability in this trade.

Hi emmanuel,

I have done a BPP of NZDJPY. I found this pair a bit confusing. Please correct me if I did anything wrong in the BPP.

So you buy only based on the 5-bar swing pattern? Any other reason?

Would you clarify a bit on the following?
"You need to identify the Support in this case and put the probability in this trade"

In my BPP I added a red comment box to what I think is the support level. Could you take a look?

Been to wonderful Big E's posts, he is always stressed up on entering a trade in first or second after the TDI signal,

does he mean to enter during the first or second candle formation or candle close ? Please advise.

I only enter after a setup candle is confirmed which means that candle must close to confirm as setup candle.

Hi,

there is no 5-bars swing low until wee see today candle close. It must close higher than the first bar of the 5 bars.

look for support in lower TF, how about this week's open? or last week's close?

Hi,

Yes, I did that entry on H4 as I am busy today and I check once every 4-hours.
It was H4 IB breakout but now it is retracing and the limit order got triggered.
With an average entry price of 2 trades open, I now have to manage the SL and place the next limit order.
Will post chart later. Now is near dinner time.

Emmanuel, why do you use 0,5Adr100 and Adr52 weeks? I mean why those settings?... I dont doubt of your wisdom. I just want to learn Thank you for helping us so much!
