Good morning traders. Wow I missed a lot of action last night. Too bad I have to sleep.

Looks like this thread may cross the 100,000 views mark today or tomorrow.

Hi,

Only my 2nd post on this forum, Sidus method is really working great! You might want to add it to USD/CHF to the system has worked well for me. Caught 2 of the last 3 signals for some nice profit. I am using a 20 - 25 pip stop on the 3 markets USD/CHF, EUR/USD, EUR/GBP I am running the system on and moving it to 15 pips once in profit then using a trailing stop once the market moves in my favor. You did get stopped out of some runs but risk is much more manageable. I am up over 300 pips this month using Sidus system.

Funny thing is I am down over 300 for a system I pay $147 for their signals! The last 5 losing trades with the system I pay monthly fee to for Sidus system as called them losers before entering. Sidus said market was moving one way the "pro" signals said the opposite. Thanks Sidus love the system, it is really working.

Only problem is having to sleep or not be at the computer.

I imagine there are some smart guys out there that could write some sort mathematically formula that would move with the market and give the up coming project cross over points? I actually have done this manually with simple math within 5 or 10 pips then put in a entry order before going to bed and it has worked twice now but that was with real rough math. Sure someone out their smarter then me could figure this out.

May the Pips be with you!

Hello to you all, I have been a member of this forum for a few weeks now and have been studying the SIDUS, VEGAS and other systems. What a friendly forum and great participation.
I like the SIDUS with the VEGAS variation. Looking forward to more of this good stuff.
Pipped to the post.

Mike,

Please be advised I'm a fundamentalist newstrader, just now experimenting with TA as an option to use for those times when news is slow, like this week. The other guys are the technical experts. So with that caveat, I'm using 5, 12, 18, 28 all exponential moving averages; rsi 21, based on 50 and fib numbers for take profit.

Money Ma$ter,

I am active on other forums but read here on a regular basis (This is my first post on FF so I hope I haven't broke any rules)...

I noticed that you said you are using FIB levels for exit. I use Murrey Math levels for taking profit around a tough S/R level and find them very accurate and good for safe entry as well. I will attach three of them and all are for MT4. If you don't use MT4 you can get a free demo download at www.strategybuilderfx.com with no expiration date on it, but there are many sites that allow you to use it for free so do a search if you don't like the above.

1. MMLevels_VG -This one has "wider" S/R lines and works good for longer term trading (Trading off the 4hr charts).

2. 8376-better... -I mainly use this one. It gives good exit/entry points and it will show different S/R lines on the shorter timeframes than the longer timeframes. I like the levels on the 1hr mainly.

3. Murrey Math Lines F -This one is a little easier on the eyes (dotted lines), and you can use this one to back test.

So if you want to back test use only the Murrey Math Lines F as the others won't be good for a back test but work great when trading with them in real time.

FYI- When I am getting ready to enter a position I look to see where the S/R levels are and usually wait for the trend to break past the closest line if price is close and it hasn't already done so. The best is when you get an entry with your chosen system and the price has just broke below/above a S/R level. You will see that this will not only help with exit, but works great for safe entry as well (If using a tight stop this is even more important).

*You can use these when placing stops as well. I use them and place my stop above/below a MM level by about 6 pips and find it works much better than just placing a random 25-35 pip stop.

Anyway, I hope this will help to improve your profit! I am 90% F/A (news trading) trader as well so I understand where you are coming from. Also, thanks for all your posts on news trading!

Mike

***Once you have MT4 installed here is how you use them...

1. Copy these indicators. Right click on the start menu and go to "Explore"- Then click on the folder called "programs" - Then scroll down to the MT4 program and click on it -Then look for the folder named "experts" and click on it- Then you will see a folder within that one called "indicators"... Paste them in there and then restart MT4 before using.

To apply them to a chart get a chart loaded and then go to the indicators tab and use the "custom" indicators dropdown. Click on the Murrey Math indicator you want to apply. You will not need to change any settings as they are ready to use.

Like I said before I like using them on the 1hr or 4hr chart, but use what works best for you're trading style. I know the above instructions may be common knowledge for you so sorry if that's the case!

***I am not the coder of these and do not take any credit for them. They work very well and were written by someone in a different forum.

Finally !!!! The EUR/AUD finally went down !!!! I knew it was going to happen at night....I made a "demo- killing" on that one.

For the record, I only use the 1H chart, and I look at 5/12 ema and 18/28 ema together with RSI 21...

Anyone doing anything differently ?

Is anyone still using the original SIDUS which involved 5/8 wma and then the 18/28 emas ?

I hope you don't put yourself down because you think everyone else here is smarter than you. On the contrary we are here because we want to learn. The guy who thinks he's a genius is the loser in forex.

Your humility is appreciated, but you'll get more appreciation if you share your calculations with everyone. Someone is bound to benefit from your work no mater how simple it may seem to you. After all, aren't we glad Sidus shared his system which we find to be.... simple.

Let's see your calculations.

I am very confident with this method of trading. We will be demoing this method for the next 3 months at least. We want to figure out everything to look for and what to watch out for. It is hard though to stay in deom with these kind of results. BUT that is the responsible thing to do. When Art and I post trades, please do not take our trades on a live account. Results could be spectacular for a month and then the next month it could be terrible. That is why at least 3 months of demoing. Possibly 6 months. We will decide that when the time comes. I have been demoing/studying/live trading for quite a while now. This is by far the best system for me as of yet. Let's see if it stays that way.

My wife calls me demo. My third wife. I am also considering to rename my cat Fibonacci to Demonacci. It took me 2 divorces to stick for a while with demo.
Had two nice demo results today with USDCHF and EURJPY.USDCHF in at 1.2271 and out at the second Vegas fib. Screwed up with GBPUSD, went long against the trend. Had to wipe up the keyboard from blood. I did download from the MT4 library a trend indicator that puts me in place. Renasdad thank you for your charts, they definitely beat cocaine.

My wife says that I'm a contestant... I've been trading the Sidus and Bago for a while now, and have had good results so far. I have to be cautious since I don't have a big account and can't keep my risk where it needs to be, but have survived so far. Getting better and better. I started with a live account. Now I've joined James16. USD/JPY getting ready!!!

I like the way that method seemed to avoid the whipsaws so I'm currently still using the original Sidus method. I have MT4 email me whenever the 12 ema crosses the 28 ema then I decided to take the trade or not.

Edit - I use the 5/12 not the 5/8 so I guess I don't use the original method.

Having MT4 email you is a great tool if you're near a PC.

Is there a service that can send an SMS based on MT4 alerts?

Cheers,

imbiber,
Do you mean to wait for the 18 ema to cross the 28 ema or did I miss something from the original Sidus method? Do you still use the 5 and 12 EMA and the 18 and 28 LWMA?

I have asked this question before. But does anybody know anything about the Vantage Point Software. That forecasts currency movement up to four days in advance with 80% accuracy? It has links on many of the forex web sites.

I enter short when the 12 EMA crosses down through the 28. Attached is a trade I just took. I entered on the second bar from the last.

imbiber,
Why didnt you enter 8 bars from the left? Looks like price was under the tunnel there too.

Hmm maybe I have been slow to enter on all of my trades. I thought the 12 had to pass the 28 for a valid entry. I have missed a lot of pips no doubt by entering later.

No, maybe my bad. I didn't read your post correctly now that I look at it closer. I don't know for sure how that goes though with the 18/28.

The way I trade the sidus is when I first see the 5 cross the 12 I take note and then I enter if the 12 crosses through the 28 as in the second candle on my chart. That's the way I understood the method but maybe I'm wrong?
