Yes it is a fib. Look at the chart in my journal. A picture is worth a thousand words. I didn't take that trade though. But, I am showing how poewrful the Vegas tunnel is.

Quoting renasdadDislikedWell, when there are so many differant ways of trading this method, I see no way of everyone getting on the same page. I know what is working for me and a few others are starting to PM me for certain things involved with the way Artomon and I trade. I think we just let the thread keep going the way it is because of the many differant variations. Sidus start this thread with 4 MAs and thats it. Look at what happened. If Sidus comes out with version 2, do you think everyone will start to just trade that? Maybe most of us would check into it but, the same thing will happen if he does post a version 2. I don't see a point in waiting for it either. Although it would be pretty cool to see. Why not take the info here in the 1,100 or so posts and make a method out of what is here. I think the freewebs website that liquid11 made looks very promising. The only thing is, I have chatted with him a couple times and I know he is very busy. I told him he shouldn't feel obligated to doing it. When he has the time to do it then go for it. I would like to do a write up on how Art and I are trading though but, I am not gonna do it in this thread cause I have done it a few times and then it gets lost in with all the other posts. I know what to be looking for in how we trade but, it is a bit difficult to put words on paper. When I do it next time, it will be one that is etched in stone and will not get lost.Ignored

Quoting astarflierDislikedrenasdad,
Would you be interested in posting your settings from scratch (like Sidus did) with indicators, etc… and your reasoning behind it so members could make suggestions with back/forward testing so we can fine tuned the system and incorporate Sidus II when it comes out. I don’t thing there is much more that can be done to perfect this system. So, it is a question of fine tuning it now and with some of our members experience it should not take too long. That should make a strong base for everyone to refer to. What do you think?Ignored

Quoting MrFutureDislikedI don't know about you guys, but I feel that contrary to what SIDUS suggested, this method is not always that good for EUR/USD, since the pair moves very irregularly at times with short cycles.
However, I do feel that with his other pair of choice, the EUR/GBP, his method works wonders, 'cause it has more regular, smooth and longer cycles than the EUR/USD.
When you look at SIDUS' original pdf file on page one and you look at his examples on charts, the difference is obvious. He uses 1 example with the EUR/USD (1st chart) and 3 examples with the EUR/GBP.
You can see the example on the EUR/USD chart that most of the times the entry and exit signals of the 18/28 ema's are very delayed. This happens because the EUR/USD movements do not last long enough.
But when you look at the EUR/GBP examples, the entry and exit signals give you plenty of time to ride the trade with profits, as a result of the pair having longer cycles.
Now, you could say that on the EUR/USD all you need is the 5/12 ema crossing to alert you...but I am sure you had the chance to notice that many times such crossing can be reversed very quicly in the exact opposite direction.
As a result I started to look for pairs that I feel have longer/smoother cycles that could work good better with SIDUS's method, and those are:
AUD/JPY
EUR/AUD
EUR/GBP
GBP/CHF
Let me know what you guys think.

Quoting fastbusinessDislikedOk, I tried as much as I can to read as much as I can, I spent like 2 1/2 h on computer reading most of 12 hundred posts. I would be very grateful if someone would summarize (at least until we get Sidus v2.0) about what system is used at the moment. By the way, thank to all of you guys out there who make this possible.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>

Quoting ArtamonDislikedG'day fastbusiness,
If you've been through this thread then you must've seen summaries of what people are doing with this. There's a couple of different variants being traded and also a couple of threads in the journal forum.
It is a lot to read, especially if you've just discovered FF or this thread. But, it is well worth your time and effort to go through it and understand it.
And just a general comment re all the posts about Sidus v2.0. Yes, I will also have a look at it (if/when it is posted) but why aren't people focusing their efforts on what's currently here, rather on some elusive update to a system that already works!
Humans are amazing creatures...
Cheers,
Art...Ignored

Quoting renasdadDislikedBago,
I remember you taking about those free signals you were getting. You are the one that added the RSI/50. I very much appreciate that. It definitely saves on some bad trades. For entry, I would look for price to be either near the Vegas tunnel or at the outter fib levels. I am also looking at using the mtfchannel indicator that peterdxb uses. When price/Tunnel/and the channel all line up, it is a very nice setup. It will require much more forward testing though. On the 1 hr charts, I use a 4 hr channel and a daily channel.
If you look at the first NZDUSD chart in my thread, that is exactly what happened. price bounced off tunnel and 4 hr channel and the daily channel was close by. Both channels were pointing up.
And just like you Bago, I like to zoom out on the longer time frames and see the longer term trend. That is what the mtf channel does too. It's like clock work sometimes.Ignored
