Good news to you all,

I'm succesfully (manually) backtesting my own system called 'The Sidus Method'.
In essence it is a combination between BGX and Vegas Tunnels.
I get great results with it.

You can find the pdf for downloading attached (next post)! PLEASE USES SM JONES HIS UPLOAD!!!
Please test it and send me your opions!

I have not used MT4 for long, what kind of MA is a WMA? I never came accross it before.
I figured the WMA, Weighted Moving Average,

When you say trade only when tunnel is extremely narrow can you say what amount of PIPS classifies a narrow tunnel based on your testing? It looks like the strong trades the tunnels were less then 3 pips apart.

WMA= Lineair Weighted Moving Average

Indeed, you should only trade when the boundry's of the tunnel cross eachother or when they narrow so much that they become one line.

now I'm doing some backtesting with u'r system,but I need to clear something out.

u said that " one should only open a position when the red tunnel is extremely narrow or crossed "
is that mean the red tunnel crossed each other or the red tunnel crossed by the WMA.

did u test the system on the different time frame?a longer maybe?

I will clearify, enter a postition when the two WMA's cross the tunnel. AND the tunnel boundry' cross eachother.
The real "Go!" for a trade is when the red tunnel crosses eachother!!

Yes, the results even got better when you use a larger timeframe lijk 4H or daily. You can even use monthly. Make sure if you trade larger timeframes that you place your stoplosses far enough, so that you wont immediatly be stopped! Thinks of risk:reward! When using a larger timeframe you should be sure of the trade and aim for enough pips!!!

I find that this system is great for the trending time,
but how about the ranging time with small pips which can make our entered trade keep bounce in wrong direction.

did u just follow the sign and then use the proper SL to get out from sign of changing direction. if so... in ranging with small pips it will keep hit our SL.
how about u'r backtesting in ranging time...

Yes, that's true. In a trend this is great. But the best results is when you get a countertrend. The crossovers often show an indication of trendreversal. But in ranging markets it wil just keep bouncing around.
That's the only part of the system that is not mechanical. You have to 'feel' if it is going to bounce. If the crossovers are 'stronger' and 'sharper' then it is more likely that it is not going to bounce!
what do you think about corelation this method and pivot points.

Can you please explain exit signal a bit more,i don't know if i understand them correctly.
You say close position when 5 WMA dives below 8 WMA and vice versa,and then in your examples you get out when the 5 and 8 crosess the both red lines.
Did i missundrstod something?
