Ultimately I want to see a break of the 61.8 level before it continues higher with this bat pattern.

Hello guys I'm still a rookie at this and I would like to say thank you to all, I'm actually googling your terms because this is still like a new language to me. Hahaha ! My question is i shorted the GBP/USD at 1.40621 do you guys still believe it's going to keep dropping I believe I read somewhere where it said that it's probably going to hit 1.39 , what do you guys think? Should I hold long? I'm asking this because after I shorted the GBP/USD it spiked up and hit 1.41230 and I'm a little scared.lol thank you guys and lucky to be part of this great community!!

some people are going to say short and some long especially in moments such as this - big drop and the reasons behind that - personally i feel its going lower before going higher although i am holding a long position so really its what you make of it - its like saying when you went in on your trade you did so with a certain conviction and its that which you need to consider - opinions are just that and in these markets might offer you a feel good factor but thats all - no one really knows thats the game as its played..

Hi, welcome to the forum.

The pair is currently testing the support at the previous low at 1.4056, if it breaks below that level it will probably continue dropping. Also, the trend is pretty bearish so far so I don't think it will reverse that easily. That's just my opinion though, ultimately you're the one who decides what you should do.
