Looks like I should have been playing the GU long instead of the EU long... That was one hell of a rip of a short squeeze there.

market will go into program mode with a direction north - buy backs and sell backs all day.
The news is just a catalyst its irrelevant the outcome as buying into the market as in the last hour plus makes money if the news is against the buy then your just selling from a higher place..as your already programmed for all results its just whose fastest algorythmn will best position in the volatility which might be ahead.

If you were a market maker with numbers on your screen you would do the same ..

If the low was 20 pips lower then this morning then would have taken a position .. so we wait ..

For all we know someone just needed to trigger a rally to attract buyers and get shorts to cover to escape a long position. Tudor Jones is famous for triggering dead cat bounces in order to establish position into the start of a downtrend.

We shall see if this was for any reason once the CPI data comes out.

My Friend there is no need to justify yourself to me, or explain yourself OK - i am just a simple humble trader who believes in taking a postion through price, and saying so - predictions and stuff i leave to others you know what i mean dont you

I really can't complain about tonight. My EU longs have performed decently. Nothing like that GU rip though.

As you can all remember from yesterday, I was a lot more bullish the Euro.

Most likely... Someone big was stuck long the GBP/USD and wanted out. They triggered a short squeeze and started a bit of a buy the rumor event before the CPI data to engineer themselves an escape.

There was no change in trend... Even short term. That was just noise. Buy the rumor shenanigans.

Is this thing going to push through this resistance at around 1.4410 or will it show to be strong again? Closed one short from 1.4470 for 6 pips and opened another at 1.4443 - tp is 1.4415 so I'm hoping it gets there, I wonder if it can get to 1.4325

Yesterday I suffered from losing almost 50 pips on EU short that missed my tp by 2 pips, closed them out in the end for 38 pips total, maybe I should just close this short out on GU for a little short of my TP
