Dipped below previously tested twice. I sold one short at 114.4. Holding one for longer term.

Agreed pullback underway. I sold at 115.2 yesterday, if it comes back up I have order on to sell at 115.25.

Seems like someone out of their shorts now and ran the stops.

Retracing quickly so it wasn't any BOJ intervention.

No news.

USD/JPY has popped over 70 pips to briefly drive above the 115.00 before losign it again, in what appears to have been intervention by the BOJ, as the pair now trades below the 115.00 level, which appears to be the line in the sand drawn by Japanese officials.

It is well known within the inner circles of the exports community in Japan that a Yen appreciation against the USD past the 115.00 is undesirable. That said, BOJ officials have learnt over the years that no matter how much intervention takes place, fighting the market tends to be a suicidal proposition.

Intervention can take many forms There's 'jawboning' - talking about a currency to influence the direction There's actively going to the market and buying/selling to push the rate and stop a few speculators out (there are different ways of doing this) In between those two there is the simple act of the central bank (in this case the BOJ) calling up some interbank dealers at the banks and asking for a 'check' on where the price is. This is often enough to trigger buying (of USD/JPY in this case). This is what just happened according to what I've heard.

Anyways interesting triple bottom here, if we breach I'm out , faster than shit...

Forexlive crap can post anything they want because they have to find a way to cover their loss but why does FF news moderator published it as a High Impact Breaking News? Isn't it suspicious?

The USDJPY is coming close to the 114.00 level, the bearish trend is still in place and the pair may continue dropping.
