Hi Radityo,
This time is after the stop time (Around 8 hours after the stop time). So if there's any position opened, the remaining pending orders will not be closed after the stop time?

Yes, because the setting says so. If there's no opened order, it will not close anything.
Unless, you choose "Force close all orders", it will close all regardless your positions in profit or loss.
Or "Force close all orders if in profit", it will close all when your total profit of all order is in profit. Otherwise, it will not do anything.
If you ask me to code/fix your EA... it's probably not for free...

i have been analyze your ea, using STOP - stop order is the best way,because TREND is your friend. but when choppy market, your EA can get stuck and open to many positions and will need to catch more pips to breakeven or TP.

for stop order, you should considering add multiple lot

example , buy 1 lot -- market up again,instead of tp , ea add more lot 2 lot , and up again .. add more 4 lot
until ea reach floating TP ( based on money ) - example ( 1- 2 % from balance, or fixed 100 usd )

there is no SL or TP based on pips

all SL based on money ( 20 % from balance or maybe fixed 1000 usd )

i have been using one of this ea ( bought from commercial website and tuned it myself (setting file )) , and been doing research. and it is profitable and more secure then ordinary martingale/grid (( against trend ))

my setting : 5000 usd balance, start from 0.03 , multiple 1.7x - target 50 usd ( per cycle ) SL 20% from balance, from my report, its very hard to Hit DD SL, normal only range around 10-15% floating loss (( HIt stoploss is very rare, it can happened if market no TREND )) thats why need to use at volatile market,because its Trend Grid .
i use on gbp usd - every month , profit 10-20%


this kind of Technic , Grid Trend martiangle is more safe, because you dont against trend and you dont afraid of news/crash

and it will be more quicker to close all positions.

and you have to use it on volatile pair like gbp usd , gbp jpy , or eur/usd ( depends on setting )
so it will be no deadlock ( choppy market ) to avoiding open to many positions ( thats why need % SL )

if you are interested to develop this kind of ea, i will send you more details ( test report,setting,logic )

As I said before, I'm more comfortable of using LIMIT as of now, since STOP tend to break when the market is ranging. STOP gave an overwhelming profit, one of my demo was surge with something like 5K% profit, but it was failed. Not only once, but many times.

But in general, I understood your idea. The same idea was conveyed to me past few months back to build martingale approach.
Martingale approach, it is planned to be built in v2.0.
I can't comment whether martingale is good or bad. Theoretically it should be better than standard fixed lot size, but the risk will be much more higher. But then again, you are the one tested it with another EA. I need to test and see the result after development and testing on my side.

After your explanation, I've tried to run backtest from Sept 2015 to Dec 2015. I ran twice with same settings except (one is "force close all if not opened" and another is "force close all if in profit"). I found out that "force close all if in profit" is much more profitable compared to "force close all if not opened".

"Force close all if not opened" means the EA will only close all the orders after the profit target of the day is archived right?
while
"Force close all if in profit" means the EA will close the orders if there's profit when the stop time reached.

Logically, "Force close all if not opened" should be more profitable than "Force close all if in profit" right?
But why after my backtest, "Force close all if in profit" is much more profitable than "Force close all if not opened" ?

That is trivial question though. Hard to say which one is profitable. Well, at least that depends on the settings you are using.
Because both was not meant to get bigger profit or vice versa. It is for a safe point where we would not want to continue the trade and close at certain point of time and certain condition.
"Force close all if not opened" that means you'll let EA run after stop time until it reaches either target profit or middle point (if you use GTLIMITEURUSD2 or GTL_EU2 set file).
"Force close all if in profit" could also potentially give a higher profit, since I didn't check how many open order are there. "In profit" logic, I have implemented as "TotalProfit > 0".

You remember also that v1.7 and v1.8 has "bug" which was okay to implement since it still producing profit, the Middle Point close type.

With the current LIMIT settings that has already been distributed, these statements applied.
Closing at Middle Point is less profitable than closing at Target Based.
Close at middle point in v1.7 means all opened orders are in profit but not reached middle point (this is the bug I meant). Middle Point and Target Based logic is applied for "Force close all if not opened" logic, in case there's still at least 1 open order.

Closing at Middle Point is not always less profitable than closing at stop time, and vice versa.
The bug in Middle Point it says all has to be in profit, then it will close. Which means if you have 2 orders, at least you'll be closing in 10 pips (with current GTLIMITEURUSD2 set). But when you play with "Force close all if in profit", the scenario is quite various.

It can vary start from having 3 orders, one of them is in small loss but 2 of them is in big profit, or
having 10 orders, 5 of them is in profit while the rest is in loss but you got your total profit is in profit (not loss), or
having 1 order in profit which is quite small.

Closing at stop time is less profitable than closing at Target Based.
Yes, of course. Otherwise, the Target Based logic will be hit first.

Anyway, thanks for testing it out. Now we know that "Force close all if in profit" might resulting in slight bigger profit rather than "Froce close all if not opened".
I never got a chance to deeply testing it.

I forgot to tell, another additional information about the donation.

I have set up a Donation Box on an account in RoboForex. This account is only meant for Investment Donation (I can't find the right word for it).

Every end of the month,
I will withdraw 50% of the profit to be donated in our Tunas Bangsa Camp. The donation can be converted to buy books, uniform, shoes for the needy students we have selected previously. If there's remaining amount, it will be used to buy various education books for our free library.
The rest of 50% will stay in the account as compounding balance.

And, for November's profit is quite good, we booked $40.82, in which we cashed in $20.41 as direct donation at 03 Dec 2015. As of today, the balance is $313.63.

Unfortunately, during the setup process in FF Trade Explorer in mid of November, it couldn't retrieve the account history. This issue is still work in progress by FF Trade Explorer support team. I do hope they'll fix it fast so I can attach it to this thread.

Can you explain more what is mid point and what is the use of close at mid point?
I tried to understand it (setting details) through your codeplex.com but it shown the page is broken.

Middle Point is where the Initial Bid and Ask located. Inital Bid and Initial Ask is recorded when EA starting a new cycle.
Based on the Initial Bid - Middle Point Range, and Initial Ask + Middle Point Range, these 2 lines formed a Middle Point area. If the latest price (Bid and Ask) are inside this Middle Point area, all orders will be closed.
The purpose is to do early closure before reaching target. Since LIMIT strategy is quite risky without adding a safe point, a point where we can get out from the market as quickly as possible in profit.

Then the purpose of "Target Based OR Middle Point" means, if it is not reaching Middle Point like above, then it will close by Target Based (either by Target Profit or Stop Loss).

I don't understand how it's possible that the Target Based is reached before the Middle Point.

For instance, if a buy limit is hit and then the price goes up, I seem quite obvious that the price will reach the middle point well before the price target (unless the price target is very small).

Could you clarify?

Bro Radityo,

Just wondering why my pending orders isn't closed outside the time range when all my opened positions cleared (no open positions).
Never experience this issue before...this is on v.1.7

here the ss:
it says ACTIVE, as you can see there's no opens orders, and my time range is 01:00 - 06:00 SG Time and my local PC time (SG time) is outside those range.

Not too bad in two days with limit EA on both U/J and E/U

But there are still some room for improvement, I missed stop trade on E/U, very pity on that....it should have hit TP now with 400+pips.....
