hi, when i set cycle 3 of 3, when ea one day do 3 times trade. the next day it wont do any trading anymore. how to set this cycle per day ? so the ea can keep running everyday

your stop loss must be in negative number. That's how the EA been built. Same does for the Dynamic Stop Loss.

I have investigated the cycle. This feature never been deeply tested, since no one is using it.
I would suggest you to test it with v1.9, I did a couple fixes last night for Cycle count.

i have been testing this ea using your set , but i let it run 24 hours ( 07-19 )
conclusion :

10.000 usd - using 0.1 lot , tp 25 pips . no dynamic, just fixed
stop order, no max cycle

1.drawdown can be very high. January dd 3500 usd, July drawdown 9500 usd (( this is because market sideways ( range from high to low 300 - 400 pips / 3000 - 4000 pt )
2.ea manage to make profit from January - July 7500 usd , but one day get stuck around 9500 usd ( ranging 400 pips )
3. most of the time ea make profit from volatile news ( because its stop order / trend order )) , my question is. how reliable when trading in live trade, will there be any slippage / re quote ?
4. i read (forgot the post number ) that fxpro broker restricted this kind of ea, because keep sending wrong entry price ?? can you please explain why your ea keep sending wrong entry price, when your order is pending stop /limit ? im not really understand here

That depends on what strategy you are using. If you use STOP mode, definitely slippage / requote will happen. Especially when the broker doesn't have good server in their side . Typically they would've restrict the EA from running, by telling the user that "your EA is not allowed here". Because every requotes will require the EA to talk back again to the server, in which will add broker server's load.
But to me, so far I got no issue with the broker I've worked with. Try to find an account with Market Execution in your broker, this kind of account usually doesn't require requotes but slippage.

You just imagine that this is a quite big grid. If you put 30 each side (60 in total), and your broker (again we are talking about broker execution time performance) finishes it in 0.9 seconds. Let us compare with some other broker which can promise you 0.3 seconds but in reality it'll be just like 0.5 seconds.
0.9 - 0.5 = 0.4 seconds. 0.4 seconds difference is quite large.
0.9 x 60 = 54 seconds. -> almost 1 minute required to place the whole grid.
0.5 x 60 = 30 seconds. -> require half minute to place whole grid.

Imagine that your broker execute 1 order took about 0.9 seconds (almost 1 second), while during that time, price can move rapidly. During this time, wrong entry price may happen.
I have put RefreshRates() each and every order placement, that doesn't guarantee that wrong entry price issue never happen. It will still happen depending on the broker's speed when executing an order.

So, I'll have to questioning back, whether the broker's server is quite reliable?
My question above doesn't mean that I judge your broker is bad, they are quite reliable broker though (as far as I heard). It's just probably they don't invest more on the server, which they should. Or maybe they restrict it just because they want to give a quality execution to all of the customers.

How about on my side?
I never got this kind of problem. I'm choosing my current broker just from my personal preferences. I need broker that allows me to do EA. The most simple question I've always asked is, "is your broker allow scalping EA?". Since scalping EA requires rapid execution higher than my EA.

Hi Radityo, today mi first sell limit was hit, then the price went down and also the first buy limit was hit.

So in this moment I have 1 sell order and 1 buy order opened at the same time.

I'd like to know if it's a normal situation or if I have to find a good combination of profit target and grid step in order to hit the profit before the other side of limits is hit.

My grid step is 100 and profit target 1%, so if you are trading with 1.5% you should have the same situation.

Buy the way: why the trade explorer does not indicate open trades for today?

Try to simulate with the excel file I have given.

I have just noticed no trades came out...oh boy... I forgot to turn it back on...

Basically, you can look at the couple week's previous posts.

Some fellow traders asked for these feature:
- Close partial side ► Closing either upper or lower side. I told that I can give that by placing a button.
- Refilling order ► If the trader wants to close some orders manually, EA will try to re-fill the previous position again. That time I told I can give a button as well.

Now, last week I was curious with another free EA I've tested, the way it works gave me a bright idea when I was "doing my business".
Close partial side + shifting the middle point + refill the missing / closed orders.

THEORETICALLY (while I was trying to write it on paper) is like a money making machine. I can make another new EA in order to shorten the development timeline, but I kept myself straight. I would like to be focus to enhance this EA, since it still same grid mechanism.

The other that is planned for v2.0 is the time stop and start with vertical line, and some other small features requested.
If you ask me to code/fix your EA... it's probably not for free...

Hi Kelvin,
The mechanism of stop time action in v1.8 and earlier works as following:
- Checks whether the current time is between stop time and stop time + 30 seconds.
- If during that time, there's still at least 1 open order, EA will not close the cycle.
- If during that time, there's no open order (all orders are still pending), EA will close the cycle.

The problem you might have is possibly due to:
- During stop time and stop time + 30 seconds, there's no quote / ticks came in. This problem was still considered as an issue, because there's no guarantee the logic will be touched. There might be case where there's no ticks received during stop time until 30 seconds later.
- During that time, new quote / ticks came in, but there's at least 1 open order.

In v1.9,
I have fixed the issue for stop time and stop time + 30 seconds.
The mechanism now changed to: The first quote / ticks received after Stop Time. So, there's guarantee the code will always be executed.


How to check whether this due to no ticks received,
find out any pending orders, find out the open time / order received time. This time refers to the server time, so you'll have to convert to any time that is configured in the EA. And is this time is before the stop time? or is this time is after the stop time?

Yes, you can use a wider one. Typically it is quite comfortable, since the logic for Middle Point Range is checking both Bid and Ask price to be inside the middle point range.

I hope you guys aware that I've started a donation drive since this thread was started.

Finally I've received quite good number of response on the poll, as it was closed at 18 November 2015.
In total we've received 30 responses until 18 of Nov 2015 from all of you regarding the donation. The results were as following:
10 chooses to donate it directly, while 20 chooses to invest the donation.
We are really appreciate for all of your responses.

So, we decided to accept all type of donations, as long as it is still related to our cause to help few kids where our reps is working there as a teacher. Be it books, or funds, be it direct donation funds or to-be-invested funds, we accept it all. This actually has been decided since early November anyway, but your valuable responses has put our decision in a strong stand.

For direct donation fund, usually we spare it for helping their daily / monthly needs like books they need for school, school uniform, or shoes. Other than that, we'll buy it various books for them to read (sciences and sometimes exams preparation books). The books will be placed on our reps house where they already started a free tuition for needy students over there for more than 2 years.
For your information, the recipients is not only needy students, but illiterate youngsters.

So, for you who wants to donate to us, we're open. Please read carefully the donation criteria at: http://tunas-bangsa-camp.blogspot.sg...-criteria.html. Donation can be in the form of funds (be it investment or just direct donation), we accepts book donation as well. We also accept time-basis fund donation (i.e. monthly or anually) instead of one time.
It is up to you how you want to donate. There's no minimum amount on it.

If you feel unsure what to do? Don't worry, we are not asking you to donate now. You can decide to donate later when you feel satisfied with this EA.

Do remember that this donation drive is a long term one. We are planning to help them to get their education until they go to college, where most of them cannot reach the college due to financial reasons. Right now they are in primary (elementary) school, year 2 and year 5. We are planning to add 1 or 2 more children depending on the situation.
